Added 2020-08-12 00:14:11 +0000 UTCoh my god, i'm sorry, i've been REALLY busy, and even today was about 5 hours of doing stuff just for medical shit, so i'm really too tired to think of commentary right now. i'll try to think of something when i post the shading. this scene should only have one more page.
EDIT: i don't know if i mentioned, but lupe and whittacker were supposed to have more of a pseudo-relationship going on, as lupe was supposed to show up a little earlier and whittacker was supposed to leave a little later. i thought this story was going to be 30 pages long total too so suffice to say things changed. whittacker still has little smiles or compliments and gets up close to lupe relative to other characters, though.
additionally, the way her husband gave her that scar was originally supposed to be stated, but he threw something at her, rather than attacking her with claws or something. it felt more appropriate and domestic, and i think that many abusers see direct punching as wrong and bad, but not throwing objects or other forms of physical abuse.

id noticed how pronouced whittacker's scar had been on the last page, looks like her insisting on being Miss whittacker in the ward is her trying to have some sense of control too. also i really love lupes design, esp her eyebrows? idk . I'm interested to see how shes going to interact with kim esp since shes a parent, i wonder if shell be able to get through to her at all bc she might be better at deflecting an Angry Teen
