Me doing my best and trying to explain the new Sales Tax Requirements for Patreon

This is a mega quick video of me talking about the new New Sales Tax Requirements. SOUNDS BORING. It is. But it also important!
Yo Fran, what is this, why is this happening? Because as new services come up with the years, quoting Patreon "Patreon has determined that it will have the obligation to begin charging tax in certain locations" some states in the US and 15 countries*** will be charged sales taxes from tomorrow July 1st.
Okay okay but how much is that? It's between 4% to 11% depending on where you live. This will mean that if you're paying a $5 pledge, you will be charged between 20 and 55 cents.
But Fran, I thought taxes were for tangible stuff! Me too baby, me too. But quoting Patreon "in a many places digital goods are now taxable, both downloadable and streaming."
I think this happened since there's more and more services and websites and apps streaming (this has never happened before in history) they have to create new laws and taxes for people providing and making revenue with these services.
Patreon WILL send you an email tomorrow, but I wanted to give you a heads up. Here's the list of US States and the 15 countries which will have this new sales tax.
