Confession Time

I know I've grumbled about it before, but I need to say it here now, since it relates to the rewards I offer:

I hate posting NSFW work.

I don't hate making it, I hate posting it. Even on my own Discord server. I'm not talking about pin-ups of cute girls in bikinis toting big guns and junk. I'm talking about two characters (or more) in a scene getting it on in some form or another, one of whom is often one of my own.

Generally, it hasn't been too off-putting. But more often, I get comments that really rankle my nerves. It's usually people who mean well, who are trying to be funny, but I don't relate to NSFW through humor. Especially bro humor. Never have, never will. And I've been getting more upset over these comments than I'd like. I'm defensive of my characters. And I'm defensive of my clients' characters. And more and more I've found myself chafing at showing this stuff to the public because of the potential questions that people might ask or the comments they may make.

That said, I'm thinking about killing off the NSFW tier altogether and just shrinking things down to $1 and $5 from here on out, with an eventual higher tier for stuff like postcards and stickers. And, let's be real: I don't make enough NSFW work for the $3 tier to be worthwhile, and posting it is like pulling teeth anyway. I'd much rather be at my leisure to just toss a few things onto my NSFW Twitter where I'm free to just block/mute people who make comments I don't care for.

If that's a deal-breaker, that's okay! Really! I'd rather everyone put their money toward work that they enjoy so that I can be freer to post work that I enjoy. I'm just sorry that this is such a sore point for me. I wish I could let comments like "lol, lewd" and the like roll off my back, but it's been difficult to do that. Rather just nip the issue (one that lies wholly with me) in the bud.

For the record: This doesn't affect stuff I already want to do, like the mouse pads and tiddy stickers and stuff. But charging on the regular for NSFW work when posting it has been squicking me out has become a real struggle for me.
