四肢麻痺さんの記録⑪初めての外出
Added 2023-09-30 14:47:04 +0000 UTC間木さんが電動車椅子に座れるようになった！全身骨折した身体はいまだギプスに覆われているが、両腕のバーや脚の付け根のギプスが外れて、座位を取れるようになった。
頚髄を損傷した彼女は、首から下が麻痺しているので、身体を動かすことはできない。麻痺患者用の電動車椅子に、あちこちをベルトで固定されて、なんとか病院の庭に出る。
入院してから半年、初めての外出だ。
間木さんも少しだけ晴れやかな顔をしている気がする。
ギプスに包まれた腕は電動車椅子のレバーに置かれているが、まだ自分で操作はできないみたいだ。これから先は、口で動かすタイプの電動車椅子を使って生活するかもしれない。
外の風景と並ぶと、重篤な患者である事がよく分かる。
これから身体を少しでも動かせるようになるよう、リハビリが始まる。
