The fault in our OST

Some minor bad news. Most of the physical version of the OST’s turned out to have weird clicking and popping noises on all of the tracks that makes it basically not listenable. We’re not pointing fingers yet but there’s a good chance something went wrong during the press cycle since our masters here in the studio sound fine. We’re trying to figure out what happened with the printing company but they haven’t responded to our emails so we’ll have to wait and see how things turn out . Anyways, that’s besides the point. Point is, we can’t sell this to people. It would be wrong. First the Fedex guys drop the box and break like 20 of them on the way and now this. orz

Because of this unfortunate mishap we won’t be selling the physical OST’s anymore. That is until the printing company figures out a way to settle this and either A) reimburse us or B) send us a fixed batch. The digi package isn’t cheap to print and if we bite it on the production cost we probably won’t make them anymore. We’re so sorry that we got your hopes up but there's very little we can do at this point.

To anyone who’s purchased this bad copy at Comiket; if you want a refund, please send us an email. Or leave a comment. We’ll figure something out. On the bright side... it might turn out to be one of those super rare collectables in the future since it was only sold once at Winter Comiket and once only. I wouldn't hold my breath though.

There is. For Kickstarter Backers, they gave out free DLC keys for fms1. You can't buy this on the steam store. https://steamdb.info/app/408350/subs/ For everyone else, they can buy the Soundtrack as DLC for fms2:sa. https://steamdb.info/app/408360/info/ http://store.steampowered.com/app/408360/ The songs in both version are exactly the same. If you got the Kickstarter DLC, there is no need to buy the fms2:sa dlc (except for supporting the them, like I did) I do not know, why the Soundtrack DLCs doesn't show up on the store page of fms2:sa or when searching for it. But the Soundtrack IS there, and you can buy it. @AiD I got my physical OST delived a couple of days ago. Since I have the OST already twice as a digital release, I did not "open" it yet. Does this phyiscal copy also have those noises, or are only those sold at the Comiket that are coming with that issue? And while I'm at it: Do you know if the source for the physical copies are the same as ingame/digital version in terms of format? As far as I know, both digital and ingame comes in OGG Vorbis, which is a lossy format (albeit in very high quality, but still lossy), but if possible, I would prefer to have this awesome piece of soundtrack in lossless. Tiz' would be the only reason for me to unpack the OST as well as the game.

Have you guys tried making DLC OST instead? you can still sell it through that way

Bytes487

Really sad to hear, hopefully you get it solved. I was looking forward to it.

Whoa Real sorry about how you got a nasty case of bad luck Hope you can sort things out and Murphy's law doesn't apply.

The Mighty Lord Noobius

Yeah, we'll figure something out. Once it happens we'll notify you all here.

ALICE IN DISSONANCE

Yikes! I really hope you guys get reimbursed for everything. I guess that answers my question from the other post. If you guys decide to drop the physical OSTS (sorry, I didn't mean for the terrible pun), would you guys be able to sell the digital OST in a lossless format like FLAC? Ogg is already a very good format, but I'd still like a true lossless version if you guys are willing to sell it.

ParityDesu

That's terrible luck... Hopefully the supplier will take of it for you all! Come to think of it, this morning I got an email about my reserves at alice-books being available. Placed my order for them (can't wait for it to get here, thank you for offering them!) but I did notice the OST was the only one that wasn't available yet. I guess that makes sense now haha.
