fault m2b - Official Key Visual!!

ms2bのキービジュアルがやっとこできました〜！！のでお披露目です！
今回はここに至るまでが本当に長かったです…。完成したことが自分でもびっくりしているというか。ms2bはこれまでのfaultとはちょっと違う、新しいアートスタイルと雰囲気を作る挑戦をしようと試みているので、faultではありつつ『新しい』とはどんなものなのか…それを見つけるまでかなり瞑想してしまいました。

この絵にたどり着くまでに描いたラフ達もページの一番下に載せておきます。

実は後半はあまりに迷走しすぎて「キービジュアルだけ他の人に描いてもらおう…」とか度々ぬかしていました。自分のアートスタイルや経験と求められていることが重ならないものを描くって本当に難しいですね。方向性が見えてからの仕上げ自体は数日でしたが、ほぼ1ヶ月間はアイデア出しだけで潰れてしまったので、創作をする苦しみみたいなものを久々に感じました。でも不思議とこの手探り感は嫌いじゃないんですよね（描けないときは延々と悶てますが）。

この絵は自分の作品やアートスタイルというものについて見つめ直させられた一枚になりました。常に作品のために変わり続けられるアーティストになる、というのが今の自分の目標かもしれません。

Here it is folks, fault - milestone two B's official key visual, just as the title suggests. MS2b was always going to be horror-themed. This was something I wanted even during the long stagnated production time of StP. Hare-san and I would converse about the story side of MS2b but never really got too deep into how we were going to present some of the abstract ideas visually. We went back and forth, coming up with idea after idea but nothing really stuck, nothing really felt right. We went through books, comics, movies... all sorts of entertainment from East to West and the whole process took close to a month. Hare-san even suggested we find another artist just for the key visual because the visual style is so blatantly outside of her comfort zone but I'm glad we stuck with it because we were able to come up with something very special that packs a punch not only visually but thematically as well.

The above screenshots are some of the ideas we've come up with. Follow up post coming in the next hour or so with a brand new 30-second promotional video that will be shown at Bitsummit 2020.
