I believe raven said that they built safeguard in the nuclear power plants in about 2040 or 2050 i could be wrong but they mentioned it when they found out about pimefaiya that the plants would last about 100 years.......so abby 1 set off the nuclear missiles after that and seeing how dioza didnt know what happened to the earth she had to have left before then...thats about as much as i can narrow it down tho lol

Oh and one last thing Couchkru, I'm sure you've picked this up but Dioza and her crew aren't necessarily from our time, just earlier than the 100 time. The Fascist US Dioza was talking about was real and isn't our current US but sometime between the near to distant future. Does anyone know? Have they ever given dates?

Yes, now I can finally say that this is Octavia´s season. She is probably the most complex character in this show. And her development is amazing, it makes sense, even if it can be painful. You can understand her feelings and reasons. And Marie did really enjoy playing this side of her character. And yes, as you said, that last scene was supposed to implied start of a love triangle but luckily it is not that kind of typical cheesy CW love triangle, they simply have other things to worry about at this moment and there is still this huge 6 years separation between Bellamy and Clarke and that their priorities have shifted.

Yeah Bellamy came in and tried to control her and tell her not to go to war after he brought people over there that 1) stole their doctor at gunpoint 2) almost killed Octavia if it wasn’t for that one dude that got obliterated 3) told them never to come to the valley or they will be immediately destroyed. I don’t care how hard it is I’m fighting for that land

Oh boy, ya'll have just now gotten into the meat of season 5. There is so much to Octavia, she is by far the best developed character his season (if not the entire show, though season 6 clarke has a pretty good argument). Octavia's character of Blodreina is one of the most successful and complex characters this show has ever created. Like she has insane levels of layers to her character and persona. There is a very good reason she is the way she is, and that will be explained in due time. Just know that she isn't as crazy as you think she is. As for Bellamy, he did not handle this situation well at all. As much as he would like to say that he is letting his sister go, he still wants to be her father figure. He came in and tried to control her after she just kept the majority of her people alive for 6+ years in a bunker where by all rights they should have died horribly. He does not respect what she has accomplished and that struggle to accept who she is is gong to be a serious struggle for him for weeks to come. I wouldn't say clarke was jealous, it would say more surprised. After all, Echo and Clarke weren't exactly on good terms at the end of season 4, even if Clarke did save her life. And then there's Vinson. Oh boy, if only I could go into detail on him, but I can't because spoilers. Suffice to say he is my favorite side character of the entire show. I will explain more when the time comes. Also, I agree, Charmaine Diyoza is amazing.

Little details like that is why I love season 5; you can see how they helped her to accept her "claw" and not see herself as a stain in the bloodline it's great

Thank you for actually being reasonable about Octavia, a lot of people hate on her early in the season even though she hasn’t done anything just because they like Bellamy so much, but if you think about it why would Octavia, who’s been in charge for 6 years through hell, all of a sudden listen to somebody that came down and immediately tried to tell her how wrong she is? You act based off your environment, Bellamy still thinks he’s on the ring where they had 7 people and plenty of space, food, water and people that get along. Octavia been in the bunker with 1200 people who don’t get along and on day 46 shit hit the fan so of course things have changed
