Thanks for the feedback. We're trying new things to make our intros more engaging. I've been trying to play with how long the music goes, as well as finding the right level for it play at. Thanks for being patient while I still figure out the best way to implement it! -Dustin the Editor.

Great reaction! One critique I have though is I'm not a big fan of music playing during the pre discussion since it makes it hard to hear some of the reactors.

It's always fun to see how people can watch the same thing and have different reactions to it. For example, I've watched The Wire 3 or 4 times and I have never once laughed at anything Herc has done. Him, Carver, and Prez all started out on my sh*tlist because of that projects incident. Carver and Prez managed to get to get off that list, Herc never did. He was always to stupid and incompetent for me to ever even remotely like with no real redeeming qualities to me at least. Speaking of stupid and annoying, Ziggy. This may be because of watching the show multiple times but I don't hate Ziggy like I did the first time I watched the show. I actually feel a bit of sympathy for him. Nick is the Sabotka like the least by a large margin.

Tavon’s crew wasn’t standing on a Barksdale corner, he was on an off brand corner near enough to Barksdale’s turf to be sucking up their business now that they putting out dirt. So Marketa is right, Bodi is trying to expand the territory and denying the druggies of Charm City a good high.

I think the real tragedy of Ziggy is that there is a path to somewhere else for him. It seems like so little now, but when they show him being the only one who knows how digital cameras work, and the only one who can Google when he and Nick want to know about the chemicals... He's no genius, but he's not stupid, he picks up new technology, he's capable of learning. He probably has more transferable skills and potential away from the docks than Nick, or Frank, or most of the guys he works with. And a couple of episodes ago Frank says they should have sent him "to community college like your brother" so there's a precedent in the family for higher education and a life away from the docks (as we never see Ziggy's brother I assume he got away). Ziggy stays, despite having no aptitude for the dock work, despite not getting enough ships to earn enough money to live on, despite being the dock joke and not respected by anyone - and it's the need for money and most importantly respect that drives him to crime. Because even though the ability and opportunity to do something else is there, he doesn't want to. He wants Frank's approval, he wants to be close to his father and feel like he's appreciated and loved. And the irony is that Frank is too busy trying to save the union, at least in part to keep Ziggy in a job, to spend that time with Ziggy and show him that he loves him. And could still love him if he did something else.

Rana's topic segue's in the discussion were smooth as all hell. SN: Chris was over the top as fuck with the dirty talk this week lmao couldn't stop laughing. I have no idea what was up with you this week, but you were in rare form 😂. RIP to the brain of any kid that watches these Wire reactions.

Kamina 1

Horseface was hilarious this episode. With just a little more charisma, he'd be George Costanza.

ShaneSpear

aye everyone is back on the bouch.

You guys are so funny! Scrapple is a meat made from scraps of pork like the head, heart, liver and other trimmings that aren't used elsewhere. It's typically pan fried as a breakfast side and kinda tastes like sausage. I know it sounds gross, I didn't like it as a kid but it's actually pretty good!

Michael Smith

It's way easier to sync up when you let the HBO intro play since it's so distinct. I had to keep stopping and starting each video for a minute to get it right.
