(EARLY ACCESS) [SEASON 4] Cherry Crush Episode 103

HALLO EVERYNYAN, CAN YOU BELIEVE IT? IT'S THE FIRST CHERRY CRUSH FRIDAY OF SEASON 4!!

This is pretty nerve wracking and ill try to keep it short (i never do) bc everytime i yap in one of these episodes i always overexplain plot stuff and i really just want everyone to experience this season through their own lense instead of through what i say you know 😭😭 i think the biggest challenge for me this season is letting go of the need for my characters to be liked, if the past 3 years taught me anything about comics its that u'll never know which characters people will like and which people will hate, every characters i put on screen is going to be somebody's favorite and vice verse every character i put on will also be their least favorite, that goes for my main characters as well.. i strugged a lot when people didnt like crush in season 2 and i struggled even more when people didnt like cherie in season 3, hating the mcs is the easiest thing to drop a comic for and i feel awful thinking about people dropping my story bc of that like PLSSS GIVE ME A CHANCE PLS JUST HEAR ME OUT but now that i've accepted that my characters are just gonna be annoying in their own way. Trying to make everyone likeable was my first mistake when i should be focusing on making them consistent, and that's what i'll try to do in season 4!

And yes of course i cant start season 4 by showing where everybody is at.. and i think everyone notices that i love doing time skip in-between season bc i really want there to be a breather for the characters too after going through big finales, they need a break as much as everyone else, so rn cherie and crush are in exile and everything looks nice on the surface but i also want there to be a sense of dread in every happy panels they're in, i love writing rot under happiness bc cherie's still holding that terrible secret about Colie dying and Crush is clueless, this is the first time in the story where crush is finally completely honest with Cherie yet cherie is the one lying when he was always the truth seeker in all 3 previous seasons! We also started with the trio on their mission and omg im just sooooo happy it's always a treat to draw their dynamic, and that i wanted to show that Chohan's pull on them isn't solely authoritarian, he's leveraging people's emotions to do what he wants, like Nho's chasing Crush bc she feels betrayed, Tez chasing Crush bc she's concerned, and Thorne's chasing Crush bc.. spoilers, you'll all know soon enough! I really just cannot wait to tell the story i have for season 4, it's gonna be a long one so I hope you're all ready for it!

The first episode is mostly just exposition so it's a little short but things will shift soon, I will do my best to do the story justice and so that i wont disappoint u guys, i'm so grateful that you're all patient enough to wait for me to do this season properly and i hope you'll stick around for a little bit longer for the ending! I swear it be a good one we'll just have to go through hell to get there first!! BUT I'LL DO MY HARDEST TO KEEP EVERYBODY ENTERTAINED, I KNOW EVERYBODY SAID THEYRE SCARED BUT IM SCARED TOO AND IM THE AUTHOR OKAY!
