First Image is Matt, Zhens roommate. And then a bunch of other stuff I’m working on. I’ll share the rest of the dialogue for the Dylan and Kale comic too! Thanks for sticking around. 👌🏽
[Kale is drawing in his notebook waiting for the bell to ring. Dylan sees him and immediately comes up behind him.]
Dylan
“You draw?”
Kale
“No.”
Dylan
“You never told me!”
Kale
“I barely know you.”
Dylan
“We’ve been working together for months, hush. Isn’t Art fun?”
Kale
“Fun way to waste time.”
Dylan
“It’s not wasted time if you’re having fun.”
Kale
“Yeah? You read that off of a fortune cookie?”
[His jabs don’t affect her, in fact they probably encourage her.]
Dylan
“You should totally come to my art class!”
Kale
“Art class? This school doesn’t have art classes.”
Dylan
“What? No, I mean at the art center!
[Kale looks at her with a blank stare because his head is fucking empty.]
Dylan
“The Armor Art Community Center? The art class? The only thing I’ve been talking about for the past couple months? There’s a girl that works there with blue hair I’m trying to set up with my cousin Zhen? Our manager?
[Kale looks no less lost than before.]
Dylan
“Whatever, you should totally think about signing up for classes!”
Kale
“You think I need classes?”
Dylan
“No! Not at all! It’s just a cool way to find some like-minded and artsy individuals to hang out with.”
Kale
“I don’t need to find anyone. I don’t draw, certainly not as much as you, so I don’t see why you think I’d need to-“
Dylan
“It’s not about needing to do anything! It’s just for fun!
[She pulls out a flier for their museum trip and holds it up.]
Dylan
“Here! we’re going to the art museum soon, but there’s also contact information for the Art Center at the bottom. I’m not forcing you to go or sign up for a class, but they do tours sometimes too! Just if you want to check it out. For fun.
[She places the flier on his desk right as the bell rings.]
Dylan
“Well, hopefully I see you around there! Don’t be a stranger.”
[Kale stares at the flier in front of him for a bit.]
Kale
“I didn’t know she was even in this class…”
