One Monster (Wip4)
Added 2015-06-19 18:20:17 +0000 UTCSummer was cooling off and with a few gusts of wind, the smell of spiced cookies in their pockets, and the crunch of autumn leaves at their feet, they'd talk about anything for hours. Just the two of them, sometimes with Dale atop Feargus' shoulders.
They'd play a little game, where they'd sneak upon unsuspecting birds in the trees, then throw their arms into the air, ROAR, scaring the birds in a panicked flutter, right out of the branches. Then the two would break their monstrous veil withwarm, lighthearted laughs .
It was a little thing they began doing for fun sometimes. Since Feargus was so large, it was easy enough to have Dale stay up there on his shoulders. After startling a bird, they'd continue walking through the forest and talk, ponder, and dream.
Until they heard a chirp, and they'd hush down again, preparing to scare off another avian victim.

It's hard to describe these paintings without wanting to spoil much of its meaning in context of the story, but here we go.
This one has been fun to work on, getting in all those autumn colors and sunset lighting. I really want this piece to feel rustic and feel of autumn once it's done.
