So - Last Night's Live Stream...

...was a disaster. I am posting about this, because we owe it to our patrons to be as open about our mistakes, as our victories.

I promoted the stream here on Patreon as an update yesterday, and felt that you deserved an explanation as to why that post disappeared - here's what happened:

I had apparently not spent enough time reviewing the playable build that I had prepared in advance of the livecast. The version I demonstrated was buggy, crashed multiple times, and had issues with lighting that I had never seen in ANY previous build.

What was especially frustrating is that I had played this same build for 20 minutes previous to the livecast, with NONE of these problems manifesting. We have released multiple alphas in times past that have never been subject to these issues.

When I began showing off the build, these problems suddenly rendered any practical demo impossible. Less than five minutes in, my entire planned narrative was thrown off.

I confess my frustration at that moment drove me close to tears. I used a profane word, and spent the rest of the time online apologizing for issues that had NEVER plagued a previous live stream.

After all of the time and effort we had spent promoting the stream, we felt that it did not properly represent the Peace Island project, and thus removed it from the channel immediately after its conclusion.

We will be doing another stream soon. We apologize for any confusion or misinformation this has caused.
