Over 100 people weighed in on my last post, saying they were cool with waiting another few days for whatever alpha we can cobble together.
I'll be frank: this past week has been tumultuous, to say the least, and development has advanced and stalled on a dozen fronts, each day. What we believe to be possible one day, becomes impossible the next, and vice versa.
I can't promise anything, other than we're working our hardest.
I'd say that the biggest news we have this update is that we received the first pile of your premiums!
10,000 postcards, along with 1,000 envelopes arrived- all we're waiting for is our new printer cartridges, and we can start mailing out premiums.
We're probably going to be hiring a few people off of craigslist to assist with this- just collating all the sets will take a while - we'll be paying them fairly, but they'll have to work in our home office. Hope they like cats, goth music, and Letterkenny...
Tomorrow, I'll be doing the first public demo of Peace Island for a gaming dev group up in Gray, Maine.
I hope I can keep my head together long enough to bring in a bit more local talent. One of the issues I've had in our recent expansion has been finding more local talent to bring in, on the programming side of things.

2019-08-28 07:15:33 +0000 UTCNo. Understand that while we are big fans of the streaming community, we cannot let a few folks essentially broadcast the entirety of the game world, long before we're ready to release the Beta. Such a stream would contain innumerable spoilers, and would be unfair to both us as creators, and the general gaming public at large. However, because we ARE such big fans of the streaming community, we will be releasing previews of the public beta to streamers, with the caveat that they do not stream such content until the beta is released to the public.
