Heading inside for the winter...
Added 2019-10-30 01:10:00 +0000 UTCJust about every day, I look up at the big whiteboard above my desk, and see just a little bit more blue and green creeping in. Some days the change is a bit slower than others, but the progress is steady...

We've been addressing the interiors of the island one by one, and I'm coming to the realization that it is entirely within the project's current scope to have literally every building on the island accessible to players.

This is kind of a big deal for me, personally. I don't know about you, but I've always found it annoying that only about 5-50% of structures were accessible in your standard "open world" or "sandbox" game. Most structures usually just serve as window dressing...

Knowing that we'll be able to give the player access to every structure they see makes our world just a little bit more "open" than the rest!
However, due to the small structure sizes, the "tiny home" model prevails on Peace Island - not shown in the picture below: the small loft bedroom.

As of this writing, all island structures but one (Greenwood Mansion) have been roughed out with initial floorplans, and we've started a "second pass" on about 60% of those, in which we're placing furniture and adding proper architectural materials/lighting.
More of the "Leveling cards" are being produced by the talented artists we work with. We really wanted to give you guys a preview of the latest art we got in for Calineigh's cards...
As we've outlined before, each cat's cards are being illustrated by a different artist. we were really struck by the work of an artist by the name of Alicia Irwin, and her minimalist take on calico cats.

On the technical side of things, I've been informed that as of now, our versioning system is 100% functional! This means that our developers can hit the ground running, when approaching their tasks, and new folks will have a far easier time getting started...
AND UNFORTUNATELY, DEVELOPMENT ON OUR WEBSITE/SOCIAL MEDIA OUTREACH HAD TO BE DELAYED.
We are so focused on getting the alpha done, that we neglected to budget funds for that, this month. However, in about two weeks, we expect a very simple site to be live, and will be able to start posting new content on dedicated social media accounts.
SEE YA'LL NEXT WEEK - thanks again for your support and patience!
