A LOT of stuff.

It's been a tough week, I must admit.  Just as I thought I was getting over whatever virus I picked up last week, PI HQ got hit again - with Laura falling ill, and myself relapsing into another more severe variety of flu.  There was a solid 30 hours where getting out of bed took serious effort.

What REALLY sucks, is that this second bout is the sort of flu where your IQ drops about 60 points, and you spend about three hours a day trying to remember what you were just doing.

Thankfully, we're both now clearly again on the mend.  Something like this was only natural- after several years of never going out without a mask, our immune systems aren't as tough as they used to be.  What is more: here in Maine, we get exotic virus strains from the rest of the lower 48, as well as Canada - before the epidemic, it was nearly impossible to avoid getting some sort of bug once a year.

First, let's talk about the long-overdue MAC Alpha.  The image above is of the final step in a series of many.  We've had to update a lot of stuff on the machine, and clean out outated code and residual folders from the project itself.  After five years, it still astounds me that there are so many redundancies that can trip things up...

Once the above process is done, our lead coder and I are again putting all else aside, until we can get the Mac to run the project.  Again- the error that is tripping up the Mac is something that the PC has no issue with - it doesn't even show up as a critical error on the PC side.  It might be anything from redundant code, to some deprecated asset spitting out unwanted numbers.

Whatever it is, reast assured that we will find it.

If it is any consolation: during the time that we have been trying to get the Mac version working properly, we've added and improved so much stuff that this coming release will be all the better, for the time spent.

During our recovery, Laura & I started adding Ivy to the exterior walls around Peace Island.  This means that in the aforementioned release, your cats will be able to gain access to higher ledges and roofs.  Once we get a fair number of these areas covered, we'll be adding the ability to climb utility poles, and balance on highwires around the island!  The coding is ready to go- we just have to place the accessible prefabs.

Laura has also been producing more Alpha versions of Interiors.  The Cormorant Lodge is Peace Island's largest non-governmental meeting venue - often used for community Bean Suppers, local Drama Club performances, and Movie Nights.

If these early interiors have looked rather generic & uniform - understand that again: these are the Alpha versions.  consider them to be the Pencil Sketch that is laid down, before we break out the brushes and paints.

The first iteration of the Driveable Golf Carts is functional - You can see a preview of of it here!

Two more things for this week:

1 - We have unfortunately run out of postcard premium sets.  We will be ordering a new print run within the next week after which shipments can resume.

2 - Olivia, the cat we adopted four months ago, is fortunately doing well.  However, we learned that one of her kittens is still in need of a home.

If you're in Maine, and open to adopting, you can check out her foster's facebook page here!

WILL UPDATE, AS SOON AS WE GET THE MAC ALPHA WORKING - Thanks again for your support, patience, and confidence!
