A few small details...
Added 2021-10-21 22:40:41 +0000 UTCI apologize, but some weeks are just not as exciting as others, around here. As we approach the release of the "final alpha," we're all focusing on ensuring that what systems & features we presently have work as best as they can. Hence, there is unfortunately little in the way of new screenshots or features this week.

Personally, I've been trying to shoot footage for a remake of the original Peace Island trailer. It's kinda embarrassing that the most-viewed piece of media about the Peace Island project exclusively shows footage from four years ago. It's something we required for our upcoming Steam page, so now was a good a time as any.
It's strange that the original trailer took me only three days to put together, but this one's progress has been MUCH slower - as this is supposed to be "Beauty shot" footage, it has turned the past few days into a cycle of "adjust/build/shoot/repeat."
I was also able to eliminate a persistent bug that was causing the light to dim by 50% randomly - but the fix was at the expense of losing "Eye Adjustment." This was a very subtle camera effect that brightened the player's immediate view when passing into shadow. It was not essential to play, but it was one of those details that I was sorry to have to (temporarily) eliminate, as we lost a tad of realism along with it.

Now - one detail about our current Patreon campaign:
We've added an option for a "Yearly subscription" that comes with the exact same premiums as our regular subscription. We did this, because an increasing number of people in recent weeks started asking us if they could make a one-time contribution for in-game name placement, rather than contributing at a certain tier over time. This will also allow us to streamline the delivery of premiums and awards - speaking of which...

...shipments of premiums have resumed! 100 were sent out this week, and another 100 will join them, this coming Monday. We have sent initial confirmation to just about everyone who has submitted their choices for in-game mention, and will begin sending out final assignment confirmations either this coming Saturday, or Monday - we again appreciate everyone's patience - we've got a LOT of these!!!
After a few disastrous YouTube livestreams, I was able to do a couple of retrospective streams on our official FaceBook page. I confess it's not the most gripping of viewing - just me sitting there and sequentially going through the (literally thousands) of screenshots I've taken over the course of the project, since it began on November 17, 2017. As usual, I tend to ramble and say "ya know" about 10 times per minute, but it was enjoyable for me to sit and talk to the public again (and to do a stream that I didn't have to immediately delete afterwards!)

So - we'll meet here again on the 29th, and discuss the release of the "Final Alpha." Thanks so much for your continued support, confidence & patience - it means the world to us!
