An admittedly slow week.

Unfortunately, not every week is a remarkable parade of progress.  Due to heavy processor demand and pipeline interruptions resulting from "The Great Resignation," we're STILL waiting for the new dev machine to arrive.  It should be here within a few days, but we've never had to wait so long for such a delivery before.

Also - I don't believe I have told our supporters, but while the talented folks we have working on the project have been safe from the current pandemic, our team members have experienced no less than eight COVID deaths among their close family, over the past year.  

Another valued contributor to the project lost one of their family this past week, and I hope you all will join us in pausing and giving them a thought in the coming days.

So, for most of the week, it was just Laura & I working on whatever we could - which was mainly story, and getting the first Steam "sizzler trailer" shot & edited.  While the result is not 100% what we wanted - understand that the game world is currently like a house in the middle of heavy renovation.  I had to be very selective in where I shot, and how, but for the most part I was able to avoid the huge holes in the walls, and broken sheetrock. 

That having been said: no trickery here.  With the exception of the JPG title cards, everything within this trailer is a part of the project currently under development, created within the Unity Engine, and captured using OBS to grab footage of player interaction (In fact - you can see a bug, when the "cat switch star" first comes up.)

For the next two days, I am going to do something absolutely bizarre and unusual:

I am going to participate in this feakish ritual called a "Weekend," in which apparently, I am not supposed to...

Work.

...

I know - WACKY, right?  It'll take a bit of time to figure out what I am supposed to do with myself, when doing this "Not working" craziness.  While I am doing that, please get in touch if you have yet to receive your premiums!
