Mac Alpha, Interiors, YouTube, and A Final Word on Scammers

We have a stable Mac alpha!!! However: In order to prevent the embarrassment and clumsiness of the PC release (which had three iterations over three days,) we are not comfortable releasing it until we make sure it does not suffer from the same problems.

We will be posting a link in a "members only" post, ASAP!

While we know that the initial interior scene of the game is still not 100%, we know we have a template that is good enough, that we can move forward with more "Beta" building interiors.  Finishing those required for the public Beta in time for the deadline should not be an issue.

Here's what was crazy about setting up the aforementioned YouTube event:  When you schedule such an event, YT asks for a sub-category under "Gaming."  Every time in the past, I have typed in "Peace Island", just to see what would happen - nothing usually did.

However - this time around, Peace Island showed up as its own Sub-Category on Youtube for the first time!  We have also been informed that Twitch now lists Peace Island as a legit game category, as well.

Now- as we have written about in recent posts: The Peace Island project fell victim to scammers.  I won't again go into details, other than to say that it has been a hard couple of months, coming to terms with how it all happened.

The one positive thing that we can take from that experience is this:

I learned that every other project these people scammed fell off the map.  One can only assume that these criminals (let's call them what they are) were able to succeed in crippling all of those projects fatally, leaving only after the last dollar was sucked out of them.

These scammers- as clever as they might think themselves to be - made a fatal mistake:  They did not destroy Peace Island, before they left.  

We're still here - and we remember.  These criminals are going to have a MUCH harder time plying their craft going forward, if we have anything to say about it (and we have LOTS to say - if anyone in the gaming media wants to talk, drop us a line...)
