Mapvember Day 20 - Outpost (Free Map #101)

Here's our Outpost map for Day 20 of Mapvember!
Today we have a martian outpost, where extraterrestrials are able to monitor Earth!
We wanted to keep the purpose of this outpost vague but there is clearly documentation of some kind being done.
Also included are some hydroponic farms which are powered by the 4 cylindrical objects in the top pyramid. These are inspired by the Baghdad Battery and of course the buildings are inspired by the Pyramids of Giza.
The top pyramid is the listening post where observations are conducted.
The middle pyramid is the largest of the three, which contains a filing system of sorts. We wanted less of a museum vibe and more of a clerical/admin vibe but still wanted to keep it strange. To achieve this we made sure that the form of data gathering used was quite alien and unusual - even abstract.
The bottom pyramid was inspired by Connor reading a story about the Ark of the Covenant and it being called a nuclear device that went missing. He liked that story so this is where it went in his eyes; taken away and now safely guarded on this martian outpost! It lies next to an Anunnaki-inspired sarcophagus.
