Wow, it's already the last month of 2023! Not many updates for December because we were furiously editing episodes from the previous shoot and preparing for the next shoot in January. In the November That's a Wrap, we mentioned that the CT team is taking a much needed break over the holidays, so the first half of December was bananas. 🍌 But it was worth it to relax for a couple weeks. Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas!
We tested Drops on Patreon! Drops is a new feature (like YouTube premieres) where we watch a new video together in real time and chat. Of course, we had to test Drops with our most anticipated director's cut, Villain Therapy — ZUKO from Avatar: The Last Airbender. We had a blast and the turnout was awesome! There's room for improvement, but Drops is still in alpha testing, so we're psyched for what the future holds. Did you join us for Drops? What did you think?

After a restful couple weeks, we're jumping right into the first shoot of 2024! We've got a fantastic lineup, including some new movies we wanted to talk about right away . And maybe more ATLA...?
We're starting to plan some exciting things for 2024, like cons and fan meetups. Stay tuned for more details!

Happy new year Cinema Therapy!!! Huge fan! After seeing so many of my favorites on Patreon, I had to become a member myself! If I may, I'd like to suggest doing a video on Dreamwork's The Croods. It's hilariously heartwarming and gives a lot of good lessons. Looking forward to all the great videos you guys will be making!

The only difficult thing about it was the timing, as it seems like for most people were in the middle of the work day. This was no issue for me fortunately, and I really enjoyed being able to watch the video and chat about it in real time with others. And since everyone was watching at the same time it was nice being able to see relevant comments pop up as things were happening, as opposed to scrolling through YouTube comments to talk about one particular part of a video I liked. Hoping that the month of January kicks off a great 2024! :)

And having watched a lot of your videos lately, I surprised myself analysing Dumbledore's behavior and watching in a totally different way these movies I know perfectly well.

2024-01-02 01:35:40 +0000 UTCI wasn’t able to join the Drops because I was at work, but I was SO bummed about missing it for Zuko. If you end up doing a Iroh episode I may just take the damn day off to make sure I’m there for it. 😂 I do appreciate the migration from Discord to here for the interactive videos. I guess I can finally say I’m officially old because I did not have it in me to download and figure out yet another app.

2024-01-01 22:05:20 +0000 UTCI didn’t get to do Drops, but it sounds like it might be easier than figuring it out on Discord. I miss it every time haha oops. First New Year goal, don’t miss the live CT Reacts haha. But really, I want to have more time to keep my house in order and be present with my girls and their hard working dad :) Cheers to dads! Dad has been watching my girls when he works at home on occasion, as I have been busy also being a part-time patient, maxing the insurance 4yrs in a row to figure out all my weird (maybe autoimmune) issues. So next goal is to not have to have dad watch the girls while working, and to not have to max insurance. But to pay for my issues, I also found a part time job setting up diff kinds of photobooths at events across UT (even those 360 booths that you see on TikTok), which would also be totally fun to set up at a CT party sometime! Last but not least, I really want to have more time to Watch Movies!!! The channel has introduced so many good (and maybe bad in a good bad way) movies I need to see! A couple I really hope y’all could do videos on are Birdemic, as well as The Room lol. Would be good times 😝

Was a little frustrating that you could end up watching *ahead* of everyone else, that there was no marker to keep everyone in time, but it was such a great community experience! Hope you guys (and the CT team as a whole!) had a great Christmas, and wishing you all a Happy New Year 🥳🥰

2024-01-01 16:41:29 +0000 UTCI could only pop in for a bit as I was also at work. I probably could get away with listening on a Friday, but with EOY crunch, I haven't had time for much. I LOVE that Drops is on the same app, and I don't have to navigate to Discord or YouTube to get the Super Hero perks. I'm looking forward to trying again. I'm also hoping it's not a Wednesday during the work day because that is personally my busiest/meeting heavy day. It's when the most people are in the office and not WFH. When I'm in the office I'm typically fighting for my life to be productive

I’m also taking a good hard look at my spending habits for the year and that starts now. And I’ve joined a gym so it’s my year to get ripped lol. Or, you know, at least lift things easier.
