2021-12-15 21:06:08 +0000 UTCI would love to see your amazing brain reproducing classic psych/prog rock effects, sounds and maybe synths a la Gong, Hawkwind, Ozric Tentacles and more recently earlier Wand in Ableton! Like Synthi rising whoops, bubbly loops, that kind of thing...

2021-12-07 14:58:53 +0000 UTCSomething with VCV Rack 2 VST, maybe a blend of sine waves at different frequencies as mentioned by Dan Gayle above 🙂

2021-12-03 11:51:17 +0000 UTCI went big. GK Ableton will do what you said.

2021-12-03 11:48:00 +0000 UTCOooh nice Ned! How big’s yours? As for your question GK I’d say both routes are decent and will have their pros and cons but for a live performance type thing I’d imagine that Ableton will be more flexible and customisable to what you need. That said, I’d recommend asking this question on somewhere like Reddit, in a specific subreddit for each bits of the equipment you’re thinking about and seeing if current users could answer your question better ✌️🤓

2021-12-03 11:46:04 +0000 UTCHi, I have the same question,I'm working actually on an hybrid DJ set + vocal live performance for a future gig and radio show, I don't know if I can do it with Ableton + midi controller because I'm about to follow the standard way : getting a Pionneers DJ DDJ-FLX6 and learn a DJ soft... does someone has an opinion about that issue?

2021-12-03 07:21:22 +0000 UTCI’d be interested in seeing your process in taking a noise jam and turning it into a finished track.

2021-12-02 22:26:58 +0000 UTCMaybe the MPE mod matrix in wave table to make fun sounds on Push? An Lfo to mod the matrix amounts could make something evolving?

2021-12-02 17:02:16 +0000 UTCI’m not that great at jit.gl.slab cause that’s real coding. I’m more into jit.gl.pix although I have done stuff just using the slabs in the max library.

2021-12-02 16:46:03 +0000 UTCHey Ned, I really really enjoyed your BFG feedback patch for Max. Would love to see something building up from there. Or maybe a deeper look into jit.gl.slab in general. Cheers!

2021-12-02 16:03:08 +0000 UTCThere's a techno/experimental/glitch artist named Alva Noto. An interview with him on YouTube shows that he makes everything out of some sine waves from a test signal generator. I bet you could do a really interesting take on that. https://youtu.be/gJ6zqNKSwXM
