Welcome to the new SCCO

This update of SCCO is almost a complete rework. Every feature of SCCO in the past has been touched in this update, and received updates, additions, or a entire rework. You can read over the "changelog" listed at the top of this page for all of the information regarding what has changed this update.

Below I will go over how to install this new update, and important additions and changes that have been made that need to be addressed further for those that are used to the old workings of SCCO.

If you have any questions or need help in any way, please come by Discord for assistance. This is the only place other than DM's I provide support. This is to keep all info in one place for users to find answers to similar questions.

New Requirements

Some ingredients have been removed from SCCO that are available in Cottage Living. If you do not have Cottage Living you will need to get the "Legacy SCCO" ingredients OR find versions of these items from other creators who make SCCO compatible ingredients.

This kit is not required for SCCO to function but it greatly recommended. It adds a lot of new features to cooking that will be expanded upon further in the future.

My "EA Adjustments" mod is no longer required, and you should REMOVE IT from your mods folder if you are still using it. All adjustments to add tags have now been done via python. So you no longer need these override of EA ingredients for them to work with SCCO! :) Any further changes needed to EA ingredients has been included in SCCO.

Once SCCO 6.0.0 is available to the public, EA Adjustments - Final will be totally retired.

Ingredient Changes

All ingredients have been updated to remove the "packaged" form that you would need to open to get "singles" of an item to use in recipes. So instead of needing to open most ingredients you will just need to have the 1 item and it will be used directly.

Due to this change, the "packaged" form (meshes/textures) for items will now be the visual for the single use ingredients.

The items that still have a "packaged form" are EA eggs, EA milks, EA cheese, EA breads, SCCO sixpack drinks. All other single use items are to be used directly.

All EA's "Get to Work" breads now work for the "Any Bread" requirement. Just like other crafted ingredients iike cheese and milk bread you will need to "grab a serving" and use the "single serving" for the ingredient requirement. This is how EA introduced this feature for crafted ingredients, and it will remain the same in SCCO.

Recipe Changes

All EA recipes and crafting menus have been 100% remade from scratch. All recipes now require different ingredients and ingredient counts per serving size. All pricing for the recipes is EA's pricing, pricing adjustments will be coming in a future update.

All recipes are now adjusted via a custom python snippet. This allows recipes to still use custom "any ingredient" tags and less override of EA files. For now, there are no more "EA Recipes" files. In the future, these files will only be the "EA Expanded" recipes. :)

All recipes currently available to craft are the ones EA allows you to by default. All "EA Expanded" serving sizes (i.e - recipes that could not be made at home normally, that were only available via market stall/etc, and additional serving sizes for recipes that are missing 1 or more serving sizes to allow all recipes to have a single (1), family (4), and party (8) serving size for all dishes.) have temporarily been made un-available to craft. These will be back ASAP in the next update. Some changes are being made to account for new features added with the Home Chef Hustle Kit.

Note: Because "EA Expanded" servings are not available, cookbooks will not all work this time. I left them in for those that use them as decor/etc. But until the next update of scco cookbooks will only add the recipes that EA actually made "taste first" (like experimental from dine out) available to be crafted at home. All recipes that I have added from market stalls etc will not show until the next update.

Lastly, "Dessert as Baking" is disabled for this update. All items that still require the cooking skill will be found in the "cook" menu as EA originally had them. These will be moved to the "bake" menu and require the "baking skill" in the next update of SCCO.

Legacy Downloads and Files

Some features and addons have been completely removed from SCCO or added into the main mod. These files will be available here for those that want or need them.

These files are not recommended to use. These all will be re-added as standalone downloads or back to the mod in the future. These versions of past features are considered retired.

Updating from a previous SCCO Version

If this is your first time using SCCO Read Over the details of the mod and its features on my website.

NOTICE: If updating from a previous version of SCCO before the 6.0.0 release you need to follow the below steps before continuing to the "Standard Install Guide".

1. Go in game, and delete all SCCO ingredients in your active lots/stores. Due to changes in this update, previous ingredients will no longer look or show in game. This can cause an LE if you do not remove them prior.

If you are starting a new game, or have a new save file you plan to use SCCO on then you can skip this step above.

2. Delete all previous versions of SCCO.

3. Delete "EA Adjustments - Final" or any other version of "EA Adjustments you may still be using.

4. Clear your Game Cache.

5. Continue to the standard install guide to install the newest version of SCCO.

Standard Install Guide

1a. Download "Lot51 Core Library" as of scco 6.0.3 it is now REQUIRED for the mod to function. Install this mod as directed on their mod page, or simply place their script directly into your mods folder.

1b. Download the most recent version of Srsly's Complete Cooking Overhaul. If using windows, un-zip the file using WinRar or 7-Zip.

2. Put the "SCCO v#" folder that you un-zipped inside your "Mods" folder. Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/Mods

DO NOT drag and drop files from inside this folder into other folders/or directly in your mods folder. You need to leave the folder intact. This is the best way to ensure the mod is working correctly and the fastest way to update when a new version is released.

If you installed SCCO correctly, your file path should look like the red highlighted path:

(version number and content inside of the folder will be different depending on the current up-to-date version being installed.)

NOTE: Make sure you DO NOT have "Microsoft OneDrive" controlling your computers Documents Folder, if you see little green check boxes this means you are not using a local documents folder, and OneDrive needs to be disabled. OneDrive is incompatible with The Sims 4 [Pic]. This will cause major issues to your game/saves/mods/etc. If you need help with this, come by the Discord for assistance. [Disable OneDrive]

3. Remove recipes for packs you do not own. Open up the "EA Recipes" folder inside the SCCOv# folder.

Inside the "EA Recipes" folder delete and files for packs you do not own or have installed. If you do not delete the files for the items not installed you will have issues with your game such as blue boxes in your crafting menus in game.

4. NEW! Pick and Choose Ingredients! With SCCO v5.0.0+ you are now able to choose which SCCO ingredients you would like to use in your game. If there is an ingredient you do not wish to install you can delete it.

All SCCO Ingredients are 100% optional.

NOTE: If you are using the EA Cottage Living "Simple Living Lot Challenge" you must use all SCCO ingredients or use another SCCO compatible creators ingredient that uses the same tag, or type. With the Simple Living Lot Challenge active you must have all ingredients to create a dish. You will not be able to spend money to craft recipes. (You can only spend money to craft a missing "Any Ingredient" requirement with the lot challenge disabled.)

Example, if you do not have SCCO chocolate (or compatible creators chocolate) installed you will not be able to fill the requirement for any recipes that call for "Any Chocolate".

5. Remove any Cookbooks for packs you do not own/have installed. Some EA packs have recipes that are locked by careers/achievements/tasting first at market stall. Reading these cookbooks unlocks these recipes for your sim to be able to craft at home.   There is also a cheat when shift+clicking on the sim to unlock these recipes if you have the cookbook also installed.

6. Remove any Addons you don't want to use. SCCO has many different modules for added features. None of these addons are required for SCCO to function but enhance different aspects of the game.

As of SCCO 6.0.0 you will find the following addons:

7. Download any external SCCO compatible downloads you want to play with. You can now download any other creators content that needs SCCO to work or has features that work with SCCO.

A list of compatible creators as of this update are:
SrslySims | KingZace | IceMunMun | Oni | Robin | LittlBowBub | Rex | Amellce | AroundTheSims4
Partial Compatibility (See Mod Pages):
Somik and Severinka

Some old items have been removed from SCCO and been made standalone mods. Here is a list of those items:

You can find more creations on SrslySims.net !

7. Enjoy! All other files in SCCO are currently required for the overhaul. If you have any questions on installing, have suggestions, or just need help come by the Discord for assistance.

Comments

Compatible with custom recipes/ingredients and EA ingredient overrides only. Their custom tag/recipe system of EA overrides does not work with SCCO. Same for all creators. As for tags on ingredients to accept items when crafting a recipe, you'd need to ask her to add these to her items to work with my mods, as she does not make her items compatible. I am looking into a way to put them on their myself in the future.
