Paying upfront when supporting
Added 2022-06-27 21:06:16 +0000 UTCThis was one of my July goals, but I'm making the change now upon review. This doesn't effect current patrons, but I wanted to post a formal notice.
I'm new to Patreon and it'll take some time to get things figured out and have ample benefits for each tier. Your support, time, and patience in these beginning phases is beyond appreciated and I would love any feedback! I didn't want to charge upfront because I couldn't justify people paying for nothing/little benefits.
This change came about after seeing a patron removed their high tiered support from my page entirely. I have since blocked that patron - why? Twice they notified me that I should refund them the $50 at different times, but no payment was ever processed. Multiple times they inquired when I would stream requests and they wanted a pic - technically they would be completely entitled to a picture due to their tier. There's more info I could provide, but I'll keep it at that. My review came to the conclusion that they wanted to get as much out of the patronage before having to pay. This does not sit well with me.
So to any higher tiered patrons - please feel free to communicate with me at any time if you feel it's not adequate, but I fully intend to provide benefits and service in full for what has been paid. If I foresee not having minimal activity for the month, I will pause billing in advance. I appreciate ever bit of support and I do not want you to think I don't care about how you use your time and your hard earned money.
