Nerissa Ravencroft - Octorber 2024's Reward
Added 2024-12-03 16:42:14 +0000 UTCIt's over. Finally, It's done. I shouldn't have underestimated the difficulty of making a manga panel. Sorry guys but it took 10 days again for this time T.T
My first idea was just drawing Nerissa with white background like the second piece. Only focus on the character in order to optimize the time cost. It didn't look bad to be honest but then I had some idea to make a mixed manga panel in order to describe more about the segg scene so.. it turned out to be a disaster. Drawing manga required an entirely different skill compared to drawing illustration which I haven't tried before. First, I just drew poses and done but it looks really too spacious and boring. That is when I realized the importance of SFX and dialogue balloons but that thing I haven't touched again since making my first doujinshi in 2019 haha. Well, that was close but pretty fun to draw. I will need to try more to develop this manga skill. I feel that I am so close but so far from it. The rest may be just how to use the screentone skillfully and choose a good pose on each page. Pretty interesting.
Well, because time is not on my side now so the next piece I can just draw like the second piece. Please pardon me T.T
P.s: It's pretty sad that Fauna is going to graduate next month. I know this will happen when seeing too many collaborations and idol activity back in 2022. Cover is killing itself. I will try to bounce out more franchises from now on so that we will have new content. I will sometimes draw Hololive again because I still want to draw more Nerissa in future. She is so cute T.T

Yeah, because Nerissa's clothes have too many parts that make every time I want to draw her, It's just a pain. But well, She is so cute so I am willing to go through all that pain. No regret ! About manga style, I need to find another way to draw it better. I think I don't have the right screentone and how to make it right right now as well as lack of material. I will try to ask my seniors for some advice then. Hope I can get a better shot next time. About Cover, they are killing all fun with a lot of collab and idols stuff so I feel it's not fun as before when our girls just streaming and doing cute things. Well, big company's problems, I just hope they will be fine though. I am making a dakimakura for Miyabi. It has been so long since last time I did it ! Be right back !

The pose is delightful, everything about her expression and body language is screaming "ready for action!" Definitely a good way to unwind after a long day at the office :P The outfit is so cute! I love her stockings and the way they crinkle around her knees. I really like the look of clothing that's half on and half off, and this outfit feels like it has a lot of parts and accessories you can take off or open up. That's something I like about OL outfits in general. Especially button down shirts and stuff like that! I really like how the manga panel parts turned out as well. It's fun to have additional poses or alternative angles for a piece. It would be really interesting to see you experiment more with it in the future, if that's something you wanted to do. I think you could refine the process over time and have some fun pieces every now and then that are mixed styles or have multiple different positions like this one when time permits. The manga style is definitely its own thing to be mastered! I didn't know Fauna was graduating! I didn't even know Amelia was sort of graduating until like 3 days before it happened. I've been totally under a rock haha. I hope she's doing well and that things go well for her in her future endeavors. I always think about their mental health a lot so I just want them to do what's best for themselves, especially with how hard they work and how much fun they bring to us all. Well, to be honest I really need to hone my manga skills first. This is totally out of the field for me but I will try my best.Told ya, OL is the best. Her outfit is painful to draw but it looks very great when it's done. I will take some small rest tomorrow and be right back. Don't worry, the next one will be a fast one !

Really, I like this idea of a pinup + background black amd white doujinshi a lot. I wouldn't mind seeing more of this concept in the future. That said, Nerrisa herself look beautiful! I think you recreated her outfit faithfully and adapted it well for a lewd pose like this. And yeah, Fauna's departure is a bit sad but at least it seems to be amicable between everybody. Looking forward to your next illustration! Remember to have fun and stay safe!
