2026-02-28 16:04:29 +0000 UTCI get what you're saying, she absolutely is being a coward here, but she's also not wrong. It's been Emily's entire life that she's been living a lie. No matter when Emily finds out, that's going to break her, and now isn't a convenient time to recover from that. The girls were sworn to secrecy to save Brian's life, and also, pissing off Mrs Rivera is a bad idea in general, especially when they need favors. I don't think Emily is going to feel that alienated from the gang for making a deal with her fae mother.

A mom I knew called her daughter “Peapod”. Same thing, just pure love. And the dialogue is great. So thank you for your good work. May all good things come to you in the new year.

2025-12-26 12:52:02 +0000 UTCI am completely with Brian on this one, Emily is already far beyond the point where ignorance works as a shield, and given she inherited Actress' power, having instruction can *only* speed up her magical development. Not to mention when she inevitably finds out, the longer this has been kept from her by people she trusts, the bigger the drama it's going to cause, by delaying Actress is not only risking her own relationship with her daughter, but also her daughter's relationship with her support network, and therefore potentially her safety. That's objectively stupid and selfish. And preserving her "normal life"? That already way out the window. I do understand where Actress is coming from, but it's clearly not the reasoning she describes, it's simple cowardice, she's afraid of how Emily will react and is choosing not to deal with it even though it's painfully obvious that the longer she waits the worse it's going to be.
