My comment was directed to the fact that they went to the Imperial Elementary School and the person that reads all the time (Shin) said that they couldn't read the books. That's where my comment comes from. :-)

I'm glad you mentioned that it is still in the same "RPG skilltree" of heighten mental powers similar to Telepathy. Only thing I'd like to add is that at the end of episode 11 we saw one of the countries that make up Giad/Federacy and they indeed spoke Japanese. But the official language in the show for San Magnolia and the Federacy is English. So they didn't have to learn a new language. Its just one of the many small flavor details that didn't make it into the anime. Thanks again :)
