2024-09-20 16:44:48 +0000 UTCThey're really great. UNBELIEVABLE QUALITY in the midrange. They're not as bass heavy as some other headphones I've tried. Classical Music especially sounds great with these. And, I like them with prog...really clear delivery of the textures.

All very well engineered, and detail maybe available on the recordings that you haven't heard yet. What you don't want, of course, is to have your ears charmed away from the recordings, so that you hear something new, but lose something else. It will be interesting to see is you use the Mezes for future episodes, or stick to your trusty Sennheisers.

These Meze 99 headphones I have also looked at recently but in the end I got a good deal on an older model Focal headphones so I went for those. Anyway that's how I know they're wired headphones. :-) I'm not sure though if they're heavier than the Apple Airpod Pro Max.

Both are making some of the best stuff in the industry (the 109 Pros are the best sounding thing I've been fortunate enough to experience so far). Absolutely love the story behind Meze as well! Would love to see a video of your audio setup/gear as well!
