Maiden Voyage!

Its now on its wheels, and for the first time in 8 months its on the move!
The maiden/test voyage highlighted some issues:
1- the doors dont like to stay closed.
& 2 - the trailers brakes/hitch keep applying and creating a yoyo effect.
So they both need looking at!
But other than that it tows lovely and the van doesnt seem to strain too much.... you know, when those brakes arent applied.
I didnt want to give anything away about the trailer until it was done but im too excited to have it attached to the van I gmhad to share it with you lot.
The next video is out tonight for you guys which covers doing a proper repair to the bodged sill on the van and then it'll be onto the trailer series, which has been a big undertaking but alot of fun.

2021-06-13 15:10:15 +0000 UTCGreat work CJ.π₯ππ»ππ»ππ»ππ»π¬π§ Fit a small gas strut between the trailer and the van, along the centreline (so it wont rip off when cornering) Make it so one end can be detached quickly, this should stop the trailer trying to βpushβ the van. . Had this with a caravan years ago! Give that a try, if its no good....iβll get me coat π So now Lance has his OWN camper! πΆπΎ
