Hello there

As I mentioned in the "Yeah But" post on Monday, this is a short little deleted bit from inside East Drive.

This originally fell between Barry going to sleep in the living room and then being woken up by texts in the middle of the night. One line remains in the film (well, two lines merged) as a voice over with a view of the house outside (incidentally, I shot all those exterior shots personally when I got back...it was about 5am I think).

As well as you getting a moment in bed with me, this bit of footage also shows the heavy breathing etc that was getting caught on those camera mics. This bit was chopped before the final sound mix so never fixed. The whole footage from East Drive was like that originally, until it got a magical Danny sound fixing. My breathing doesn't sound like that in real life. I hope.

I was also thinking, and I may be wrong, about the post I did on Monday, and I think there is a chance that I told Barry to get his camera and come to the kitchen in my first text to him. He may remember himself, but I had certainly forgotten and there's a chance I've invented a memory. It does sound plausible that I would prompt him on the camera front for safety.

If I did then there's an other addition to my "Yeah but..." response.

I think that video above is the only time that night vision looked acceptable in the film. Or rather, the only time that I looked acceptable in night vision.

For the record, I did actually sleep in that bed (I had an hour before my mischief and then a few hours after it) with no issues whatsoever. Well, except it being a ghastly, rank little bed. I give it one star on Trip Advisor.
