Hello. Thanks for the feedback. I've put the track out now. It's up on my YouTube channel. It still needs some work, like adding a few guitar parts here and there. I think dynamically it's a bit better now, damn vst drums. haha.
2018-05-24 00:08:50 +0000 UTCOverall it's really good, as mentioned in the other post the pre-chorus bit feels a bit long the first time and would probably sound better teased and then extended later but other than that it feels really smooth and complete in terms of melody. On the other hand it's pretty flat dynamically and some different tones and louder playing at the hook etc. would really help the melodies shine, although that's probably just a symptom of it being a demo accompanied by VST drums.

2018-05-16 23:39:15 +0000 UTCSome great stuff here. The "chorus" part starting at 1:00 and again at 2:37 is excellent. The intro/first :30 bit also, would be nice to hear that return somewhere else in the song. The "pre-chorus" part starting at 0:29 and again at 1:28... I think the first instance of it should be half as long... just give a taste... do it longer the second time around. 1:48 to 2:36 This arpeggiated progression here... a bit jazzy and I don't it quite fits the song. It might work if less long by half and with a different transition in/out... the transition out at 2:36 is a bit rough. I feel like a bit of an impostor critiquing a pro, but I appreciate your openness and sharing early.
