Hope you’ve all had an amazing weekend and week so far. I am very aware I have a ton of comments and messages to read and respond to from the latest video and that’s on my list of things to do tonight when I get back from work tonight.
If you follow me on the other socials you will know that we finally opened the Battersea Power Station here in London this past weekend and it was a huge success. As such I’ve managed to clock up nearly 50 hours since Friday (but I wouldn’t change that for the world as i’ve been having the best time and I think the above photo shows how happy I am - this was captured by our amazing events photographer within the first hour of opening) 🍋
As such, I have decided to stop uploading Young Royals Season 1 Reactions to youtube. Every video so far has been met with negative comments of people telling me how I should be reacting, comment on or interpreting moments of the show but this week, after a loooong day at work I rushed home to get the YouTube edit done and it was met with an astonishing amount of negativity and I just don’t have the capacity for that kind of energy right now.
So, looks like the rest of Season 1 are Patreon Exclusives from here on out. I’ll be back on YouTube for Season 2 when I am back from vacation, though!
I also have a a little extra video for you guys which I made to recap my thoughts for Season 1 and reacting to the Season 2 teaser! 👑
Anyway, that’s enough waffle for a Tuesday morning. I am really looking forward to being able to be more interactive with you guys now that the store is open!

2022-10-20 19:49:23 +0000 UTCJackie - there is one thing that I only thought of after posting above and that is have you ever considered posting your YR videos on Youtube but with all comments TURNED OFF? It would mean that you would still get your regular viewers watching but without the 'haters' comments. Would that be an acceptable alternative for you do you think?

2022-10-18 23:29:05 +0000 UTCoh i’m more than comfortable doing that. it’s not so much the level of vile. it was the amount of people moaning. so my way of telling them to fuck off is just not giving them the ammunition to moan and saving myself about 9 hours of editing which i will reinvest into editing videos for you lovely folks on patreon.

Pardon me for saying this, and I might be reading too much into things you've shared about growing up and coming out, but you need to learn to be more comfortable just telling people to fuck off! (Said by someone who lives in a relatively safe space for LGBT+ folks -- San Francisco).

I went over to YT to check out the comments on you abridged videos there and I didn't see any/many negative comments. Did I not scroll down far enough? Or have those comments be deleted somehow?

But the YouTuhe edits take 3x as long to make and when they’re just going to be inundated with stroppy comments… i’m not going to waste my time editing those. I’d rather spend that time editing for you lovely people.

I saw the comments over on YouTube and I thought to myself, jesus, leave the guy alone, it’s his reaction video and he can say what he wants. I assume that they probably don’t know how much work you put into making those videos as well and for someone to just constantly pour negativity over it is something you just don’t need so I agree with you pulling them off there for now. Don’t listen to them, we love you and everything you do for us here ❤️ I saw exactly how happy you were on Friday when I was in the store, you were smiling and laughing, having fun talking to everyone, you should be very proud of the place, it really is amazing, I could have bought so many things but unfortunately they were out of my price range 🙁

If they want a reaction video, then they should make their own and stop bitching about how yours is. Everyone has different reactions to different things. It's what makes people unique and not so "homogeneous". I enjoy genuine reactions and not so over-the-top reactions that Youtube crowd is looking for. They want very specific reactions to certain scenes because sometimes they get so fanatical about a show/series or such that they don't understand that people react differently to the same content. Basically, if you're not fanatical like them, they will let you know. So, in the end, ignore those trolls and just do you. We love what you do otherwise we wouldn't be here supporting you. Stay genuine and true to yourself.
