Stepford Magazine: So she enjoyed her new position?

Mr.Wilson:  Yes. (laughs) both in front of and under the desk. But really, we had so many former, ah, executives, and they were so eager to learn how to serve in their new positions that we found ourselves needing to branch out.

Stepford Magazine:  Oh?

Mr. Wilson: Well, there was the lounge on the tenth floor. The women had put it in, a complete waste of funding, and mainly a fashion statement. But it was up there and we needed to do something with it.

Stepford Magazine:  I take it Pattie and the other girls were involved?

Mr. Wilson: Oh the girl's were ecstatic to contribute and show off everything they learned. New clients loved and well, a few of the girls ended up getting married off. Patti just loved directing the girls and keeping the place tidy. She was happier than she'd ever been as a business manager

 Stepford Magazine: But she was...

Mr. Wilson: Look but don't touch--at least for anyone other than me. It drove her crazy over the course of the day. Which was very pleasant when she came in the next morning with a desperate desire to release all of her needs. That's why she asked if she could live with me. As a live-in maid.

Stepford Magazine: And that was when you stopped paying her.

Mr. Wilson: Well, them, actually. We were handling the girls' room and board and well, if they needed actual money, it was best if they asked one of us for an allowance. After all, women can be very bad with money. I know most of them enjoyed it, talking about how they were happier than ever to not have that responsibility.

Stepford Magazine: And Patti?

Mr. Wilson: Fashion magazines, cooking books and tips on making her man happy was all the Patti needed...

Stepford Magazine: Well, we have one more bit, but you seem to have done well.

Mr. Wilson: Oh, i have.
