They actually use backing tracks and loops for certain songs in the modern era, sometimes because some songs are using instruments in their latest original album, but also some studio tracks are so stacked and layered, they won't get a rich full sound with venues they have done in post Avi Era, those r huge Arenas/Stadiums. They are also pretty transparent with it, it's just some fans who are weird about it. By the end of the day, they are humans, and they do huge performance shows, and have lots of chores, getting a bit of support, so fans have the best experience is totally valid, we know, and they know they can sing unplugged. And after being forced by their Label to only do Christmas Albums and no Pop or Original Projects, the past years, i just want them to have fun on stage. By the way if you want something really unplugged and to laugh, check out some Super fruit Content, their Original Songs are great, but Scott and Mitchs Hip Hop goes Broadway is so iconic, or their Lala Land Medley, Frozen Medley... Scott and Mitches EP is actually about them being Childhood Sweethearts, and trying to navigate being friends again, during the Sing Off Era and their young adulthood.

2024-12-28 19:30:20 +0000 UTCInteresting! Others have said it's Kevin who has perfect pitch, and if Mitch did he wouldn't need to get the app out - but I would think that Mitch gives the note because he has the most 'perfect' tuning (different to perfect pitch... confusing terminology, I know ๐ )

2024-12-20 15:02:02 +0000 UTCSo, Iโve seen them live several times and I would hazard a guess that itโs Mitch that has perfect pitch. Every performance heโs the one singing out the starting note. He also in the private VIP performances is the one getting the pitch app out on his phone to give everyone the key. Kevin nearly always counts them in to start the songs though. He could also have very good pitch I just wanted to let you know what Iโve seen in person.
