Attack Behavior Revamp 5.7.7 - Similar NPC and Player Behaviors(SUICIDE VERSION)

Hi Everyone! So here is the optional suicide version for 5.7.7,  NPCs Attack thesame way as the player, though this was actually done by remaking a pre-5.7 version just for the NPCs on separate behavior states; I don't really want to make claims, but It might be due to the animations that were AMR based and with so many DAR folders which might cause the CTDs,

so instead of making them use the new files, NPCs use the "attackleft" and "attackright" animation like with 5.5 and below, since those animations don't rely on AMR and depend solely on the behaviors

there's no phases for this, no aggression system, just NPC attacks being attackleft/attack right and them performing vanilla power attacks


I'd appreciate if the the guide was verified first before reporting problems like charged attacks don't work because the option to toggle between them via the alt-right key was not read

Also, regarding project impact, some new ideas coming as well, I'm liking the suggestions of a counter-parry or a chance for enemies to dodge, gonna add more features soon!

by the way my mod list currently are stance (with all mod carried anime deleted)/ underdog anime / CGO /ABR / inquisitor / Thu'um / vanguard

i have absolute no idea what is going on as i used this suicided version and the vanguard, the shout and the magic set you've down and got T-pose every time i try to attack, i can unsheathe and restore back to idle. i've used the free version of ABR on nexus and everything worked well beside few anime, can someone give me a hand if they have the same issue? I'm certain i followed the guide

u need the amr version... if mofu doesn't have one converted already u need to convert it to amr ...regular skysa version wont give you movement unless converted to AMR using distar's conversion tool

ive seen people use Sky SA animation with ABR and they seem completely functional, including any forwards momentum, but after adding some animations from mo fu, my character will play through the animation but will sit in one place. its odd, and i was wondering if anyone could help me out in any way. thanks in advance

Hi is anyone having the issue where after a killcam plays, the npc doesnt die and just stays kneeling down? I have violens installed. Is this maybe not compatible?

One issue I have encountered that I just can't fix is when you have magic in left hand the right hand animations for one hand melee weapons don't work properly I have Dow loaded inquisitor and done the edits shown in the FAQs but still no luck

Hello, is anybody else experiencing an animation problem when using a 1h sword but on 2h stance, while doing a forward power attack, my character begins the animation but doesn't finish it, yet I still hit the enemy? I think it was trying to do the normal 2h sword forward power attck, the animation just doesnt finish :((

My only issue with this mod is that it makes the power attack perks of weapons from ordinator pointless unless I'm missing a way to do standing or directional power attacks.

Hello there, I do still have this issue when spell + weapon where there is no idle for the weapon equipped. Is there a way I can fix this ??

hmm.. i would like disable two,three hit power attack or power attack combo system i like this mod's normal attack combo how eliminate powerattack combo?

I think I have the same problem, some attacks are slow enough to just walk away from it and some are just sonic speed.

Hello again, so I am unable to use my weapon when it is in my left hand, when I have anything other than ANOTHER 1h weapon in my right. I do not have Inquisitor installed, but it was doing this when I did have it running as well. I can't imagine this is normal? This happens when I have the charged attacks toggled on AND toggled off, it doesn't seem to matter.

I'm having the same trouble. Normal attacks just don't work againt me while heavy attacks do. Please let me know if you find the solution

You should be able to tick the "Combat Behavior Improved" patch in Nemesis which enables block canceling. Keep in mind that this goes against the concept of attack commitment.

Okay, I’ve been doing some heavy testing of ABR and my only issue so far (and maybe this is more personal preference than an issue) is the slow block animations. Raising your shield or weapon is extremely slow and makes playing mods like Inpa Sekiro difficult as the reaction time needed to block is broken due to the delayed block anims. You also can’t interrupt an attack to block… does anyone know a way around this?

Anyone having the issue of the npc's normal attacks not registering, at all? It's like they just miss, I'm standing there for however long, a minute etc, guards, bandits, imperials, not a single one will register. Other than that, would work great, they dodge, power attacks still work against me. I'm using DAR, was using skysa, but deleted it, AMR, Nemisis, Power Direction mod.

@ADRI bro is 5.7.7 still compatible with the Unofficial Character Behavior Enhanced? If so, how? I followed your instructions from the Nexus but its not working for me :/ Should I delete one of its folders like with CGO?

He was referring to an issue caused by mods like mystic knight and other replacers.

Hey guys, don't know why but all NPC's attack are really slow no matter which version of ABR I pick up. Did anyone else face the same problem?

From my experience using Inquisitor, it seems you need to have the dual cast perk for the school of magic you are dual casting in order to dual cast. I'm not sure if that is a feature or unintended. I also observed in a few instances that enemy mages seemed to suffer from the same limitation and sort of hold their pose as if casting though I'm not sure if that particular behavior is due to Inquisitor. I've uninstalled Inquisitor for the moment but will definitely check it out in case it gets an update.

Hi there, in the FAQs it mentions Inquisitor 1hm on right and Magic on left animations, and I'm confused about what exactly that is implying; I thought Inquisitor had that by default?

loving the work, however the only issue i have is the grip system seems to conflict with smooth's animation mods and causes a silly bug to happen,is there any way i can disable the grip system of this mod?

pretty sure its only humanoid. I was fighting some falmer earlier and it didnt seem to affect them

Hey Adri, do you test with combat overhauls such as Wildcat which claim to modify AI combat behavior? Do you think this might conflict with behaviour states? Loving the work, keep it up :)

In the mod inquisitor, my two handed animations are messed up or non existent, whether I have dual casting or not. Some spells I can't dual cast at all, like healing. How do I fix it?
