Elder Scrolls Deliverance - FP Overhaul

Hi Everyone! So it's here! the 1st iteration of my KCD based FP combat.


So design wise, this isn't an update of FP Revo, this mod does very different things

- Removes Regular attack(Left Click) Spamming , thoughtless attacks is no longer apart of your set of options in game, you'll have to rely on the direction based mechanics

-4 direction based attacks, you will end up with different combos depending on the direction of your stance, so you don't need stances to have different attack sets, you only need to hold your attack and use the directional keys for this

-Supports both 1h and 2h weapons

-Supports Unlock Grip with CGO and without, in Unlocked Grip mode, all attacks are also shifted to the alternate mode  unlike my other projects(which i plan to add later on)


Installation:

while this mod isn't a FP revo sequel, the code name i used is thesame since they aren't compatible anyways and it's more efficient on my end to use the "fprevo" as a codename for nemesis

1. install the requirements: Nemesis, DAR, Better Power Attack Direction Control

2. install this mod

3. for CGO users delete "CGO install folder/nemesi_engine/mod/dscgo/_1stperson/1hm_behavior

4. Patch in Nemesis (As I mentioned, modcode is still First Person Revo to ensure you wont have both mods installed)

I freaking love this but how can I balance it with other mods? I can't do but one or two slashes with a one handed sword before running out of stamina using Blade and Blunt Combat.

Hello there, I really appreciate improvments on the First Person side ! You already did a good job for the community and i am just sharing my ideas on the subject here in the hope of better gameplay ! The core issue with FP in my opinion is that there is no correlation between the animation and the hit box. That you perform a slash or a thrust there is only one target : the center of the screen. the mod first person combat animation overhaul changes animation so that the swings would always target the center of the screen. So here we have different animations depending on the direction. But no matter what, they can just target what is at the middle of the screen, right ? Moreover, all animations perform forward movement, even the animations starting from a backing movement. What i would consider as a revolution, would be combos that focus on thrusts (hit the focal point at the center of the screen with better range and other effects maybe), other combos that would make swings hiting possibly multiple points accross the screen (maybe an area if the engine can be changed) with the inital direction deciding the combo, also changing the movement of the player : especially when backing. If i am backing that may be to not get myself surrounded and defending against multiple oponents, and i would rather move back than comiting forward. Other than that, what would be the incentives of doing that or that combo ? Skyrim won't have the complexity of real fencing with defensive and offensive feint and so combo playing around that to target different body parts. Having a technical hack and slash experience would already be excellent, This game already has too many things to offer to provide a specialised environment suited for duel gameplay even though i would enjoy it

I like my r1ing, could there be an option to readd it? I use master of one, so r1ing is less mindless

I tried it and here are my thoughts about this: Lot of potential to change Skyrim bad combat system but it's still a bit awkward to use. -When i charge my power attack, there's a weird animation where my character do an incomplete attack and it use stamina. -Switching between stance take like 3 seconds. -After a power attack, i can't move during 2 seconds. Maybe, if we could switch between stances without the need to charge power attack and do directional normal attack it could be good. So we could choose between power and normal attack like vanilla but by controlling the attack direction. English is not my first language so it's hard to explain.

Can it be in an ESL format like FP revo?

It looks great but it might feel a little weird to play with a completely different system in 1st and 3rd and take some getting used to. Either way it's always great to see 1st person get more love. There just aren't that many good first person melee games.

How does it work? I've done all the requirements installed the must have mods. But i don't know which buttons to press and how to trigger the animations...
