Impactful Blocking slow movement issue is removed, but NPCs walk while blocking

Fixed stuttery movement too, with better blending of walking + block idles

Also, added unarmed block animation + block reactions


For inquisitor:

I'll probably just do mostly dedicated behaviors, with self concentration spells having free movement, and the rest with fully animated chain behaviors.

Also based on the vid, I'm trying to implement magic Unlock Grip, as for staffs I can't yet implement melee since it seems to crash, though I'm still working on them.


Lastly Telegraphed concentration spells for NPC mages since it was annoying that a target just suddenly streamed fire out of nowhere

install the requirements, install these mods and patch in nemesis


mod codes for inquisitor is "daistf"  for impactful blocking is "fence"

if they show a blank space, make a fresh nemesis patch


if using CGO

CGO install > nemesis_engine > mod > dscgo > magicbehavior(for compatibility with inquisitor)

CGO install > nemesis_engine > mod > dscgo > blockbehavior(for compatibility with impactful blocking)

I'm having a hard time installing Inquisitor into Nolvus Natural Lighting. Is there a guide for a basic installation as I'm still pretty new to modding?

I just blocked melee attacks with magic by timing and it was completely accidental, is that apart of inquisitor?

Hi, this mod looks great and i have tested it on my playthrough and just makes it better but there was one question i had to ask. The charachter has to play the entire animation in order to use the magic effect so if i repeatedly press the attack button it wont shoot the magic, cause i would have to press it long enough and then after that press it again for a second attack. Do you think there's a way of making it so that the animation starts and has to be fully played just with one click (without holding it for the whole duration)? for example as it happens in dark souls

hey just recently downloaded inquisitor and have been really enjoying it, but now I'm experiencing something weird. Now for some reason when I have a weapon in my right hand and I cast a spell from my left it forces me into the dual casting animation even though I dont have two spells.

Is there any way we could also make this mod work for first person casting? Much appreciation for all the work you do!

whenever i cast destruction spells the spells work fine but i can't move while I'm casting the spell

Is it possible to make it player-only and only retains the most basic "enemy mage-lock"(your older Nexus mod) function for NPCs?(Like is it possible to delete certain files that affect NPCs?) Since I am also having Mage firing dud spells.(Another issue I have with all versions is that staff using hand casting animation, don't know why this happens.)

Looked everywhere and asked around in the discord: Which files would I replace if I wanted to change the attack animation played when 2handing a magical staff???

also i'm not sure if it's related to this mod but something weird started happening where, when i attack an enemy even though it looks like they're not blocking, i get staggered backwards like i attacked someone that was. even though i have unblockable.

works great for the player so far but NPC's seem to get stuck in the casting animation for destruction spells, know of any potential fixes?

first of all - awesome! I'm experiencing one 'major' issue though, often times when casting lightning spells such as 'lightning bolt' or 'chain lightning' the spell somehow gets 'stuck' mid-air and every time I cast said spell again it always hits the point where it got 'stuck' (changing cells fixes this but it's very unpractical :D)

Is the issue of vampires and werewolves being unable to use these behaviors still present in Inquisitor? Loving the mods man.

animation of blocking is kinda too slooow, so slow that sometimes i just dont have a time to make a block and take a blow - so what i did wrong? or whats wrong can be anyway?

For some reason, everything in Inquisitor works with the exception of channeled magicka from enemies. They wind up, aim and then nothing. Spells like Firebolt work fine from them, but nothing channeled at all. Did I miss something in the install? I love what I see otherwise

Nothing from Inquisitor is working in my setup. Have all requirements, non CGO version, Nemesis patch is ticked, etc. Any ideas?

I think i did something wrong or I have a conflict I can't find. NPC's can't use right handed concentration spells for some reason

I didn't include it for now because i noticed a lot of feedback regarding the conflict of alt right button and my other stuff, some want to use charged attack with the magic and whatnot, so i made it dedicated for now because I'm learning through mcm helper on how to make a toggleable button instead of alt right and also to make it separate from my other stuffs which i will also eventually implement an mcm toggle as soon as i learn how

I will really miss non dedicated versions, it's amazing having 2 magic combat styles to switch between, and despite how amazing the new magic system is, it's disappointing that u can't use spells while moving.

so testing Inquisitor duel casting is not working even with the perk in the skill trees and for some reason random AI mages such as "Novies fire mage" don't even aim at me when casting, they shoot to their left and completely miss

I am also unable to use dual casting.

Is anyone else not able to do dual casting like in the video? I wonder if it has to do with me using Skysa. Everything else is working great.

watched some video on youtube, seems 1h weapons with magic have similar issues, they use stance like 2 hands magic, and weapons in right hand looks weird

yup, because mostly when I revert to the old speeds, the blending was bad, and the player would stutter crazy sometimes, so i had to set the movement state to this which locked movement speed

hey Adri, there is a very weird animaition if you are holding 2h weapon and a spell, looks like you are holding a 1h weapon, and holding it not on a shoulder. tested on a clean skyrim CGO version ofc, any ideas/fix?

Is it intended that I can now move with full speed(run) while blocking with Impactful Blocking installed? Basically like if I had a "Block Runner" vanilla perk unlocked.

ADRI. your Inquisitor is looking absolutely awesome. Insta Download. Somewhat related question, what is the Visual FX you use for those flames? Ive never seen the flames spell look so vibrant

I dont know if it only happen to myself , it will be stucked when i try to cast some spells by using both hands (like flames or sparks, ), actully only one hand works while the other hand is not able to cast

custom block idles are unaffected, they still work with this mod

Great mod, but I don't know if it'd work with my ABR stance setup... Will this conflict with block idle animations?

God damn ADRI you're a beast! I was just trying your previous Impactful Blocking version and now you came out with a patch in less than day!

Hi ADRI, this looks great! I had a quick unrelated question related to ABR: do attacks become more shortly telegraphed for higher level enemies? If not, what do you think about this idea? Thanks for the awesome work, as always :)
