They had a whole episode about Saki's backstory, her friendship with Reiko, the present-day mother Reiko, and Reiko's rebellious daughter tryna be a cool biker chick. Reiko was Saki's bff, and I think she quit the biker stuff after Saki crashed playing the chicken game against the leader of another biker gang. If I recall correctly.
