First: I'm desperately hoping that next month lets me find the centering required for comedy, because November wasn't it. Just know that Anchor Foal has not been, and will not be, abandoned. This just hasn't been an autumn filled with laughs.
Second: about 8400 words in this chapter, and it was initially a victim of the natural chapter break because I didn't want to stop until I hit that point. (I had reached 6k and realized that the chapter wanted to be longer. Do not deny the chapter.) After that, it hit said point at a moment when I potentially could have kept going -- for several thousand more words, which for the sake of pacing and that natural break, needed to be in their very own chapter. There's something coming up which needs a few flavors of isolation.
And third... I'm tired.
It was a very long month.
So let's wrap November, and get that much closer to ending the death march that has been 2020. Six postings (but only five pledge charges, because the one-shot was under the word count minimum), and for the last day of said month, a day when I don't have to race against a deadline, I will be --
-- rescheduling medical appointments.
A lot of medical appointments.
...I had to cancel just about a month's worth. I have a release date for her and they all have to be made up. I was just waiting for Monday because I figured a lot of offices had the holiday weekend off.
*looks at schedule sheet*
It's gonna be a long day.
