In the time since this last update SexNote has released like five full updates. Uber simply is not doing the work. He must be working one or two hours a week.

you're mentioning only those who feel obligated to pledge with a 10 or even 20 dollar subscription, there are other contribution options that shouldn't have anyone complaining because 1 dollar helps a lot if you consider 3000 patrons. I find it idiotic how anyone would even come on here and complain about how they haven't jerked off and how they'll be pulling memberships. I've got to say, I'm with M34TH4MM3R.. as complicated as his name is, he's kind of right. Although I sort of agree with you. I don't really care when I get my food, as long as it isn't cold, disgusting, or rejectable at the end of the day. However, if I finish my meal and I look at the receipt and it turns out I paid $127 bucks with really bad service, terrible food that I could make with a bag of frozen ingredients, and half of my order wasn't even right, I'm gonna be upset. Luckily for UberPie, they only manage to get the bad service part. The rest of it is superb. Like M34 said, I get why everyone is upset. At the end of the day, I, myself, am gonna pay and play regardless. I check back every so often to see if it's done, say weekly, and see no updates and go about my day. To some people, they get irritated or upset easily and that's okay. Uber makes quality over quantity. In the video game franchise, that's hard to do. Porn game or not... Soooo yeah. I'm upset. But at the same time, I'm patient. M34 is right and so are you. But back to the analogy for a second, if you're at a restaurant, some people might call for the manager or ask for a refund and that's the same case here. People are upset and asking for a refund (stopping their subscription) or calling for a manager (asking for AT LEAST another update on where they're at in development) I haven't read much other than the other one. So no one is being a Karen, but more reasonable people. Being a Karen in this case is writing a whole essay (I get the irony, LMFAO) about why Uber is a terrible developer and trying to get everyone to do one thing, I.E. reject Uber and stop spending money. Now that I say that, there might be some Karens in here...

hmmm, something odd i noticed this past year,almoust everyone i know ( IRL or on the internet) was bored shitless due to the lock downs, they had to either work from home, or go straight home after work, it did not rly matter if you wanted to go some were kuz prty much everything was closed. HOWEVER, i noticed that a colosal amount of devs were citing "we did not have enf time due to the virus" (or some variation of that statement), and like i said i don't only refer to uber here, at this point i am genuinely interested, is there some secret place open just for them were they can hang out ? kuz... you know .... a lot of us were bored shitless with hardly anything to do, yet they seam to be realy ocupaid with something other than the game. again i am not rly mad the update was delayed kuz i have soooo many other games to play but i am genuinely curious as to what that something is ( and pls we all got health issues either us or ower loved ones, but for some reason every indi dev helth problems seams to magicaly take colosaly more time to heal, were a sick period would be for us from 2 days to 7-9 days for more extream ones a few extra days shure, but it would oddly take about 6 weeks for an indi dev, got the corona ? it would take ~12-18 days for us [maybe around month if you have some other serious medical issues] indi devs? 3 months + i'v got some cash burning ma pockets and very few seam to step up and take it :/ also i would like to thank lostraven from keeping us informed as best as he could, however we would apriciate some update posts from uber on patreon as well, as far as i remember we pay him on patreon not on discord it takes 90 secounds to write the bloody thing.

The issue has never been that people don't appreciate the work, clearly if we're taking the time to comment and put money towards the development of the game it's probably a safe bet that we are passionate about it. The problems have been purely down to the absolute lack of communication and the lack of follow through with any of the promises put forward.

"This update was already going to take longer than the others due to its size and complexity." - Well if you knew that, why did you then have to give a deadline for it? (A deadline not to different from the earlier ones, that you also not have been able to deliver on.) I can kind of get than you maybe saw a chance to deliver more and more, and so got lost in the process, but come on. When was the deadline? December? We are moving into February currently, and that is downright BIZARRE. When my university gives me a task and a deadline I make damn sure to use my time efficiently to be able to deliver on that deadline. Can you say the same?

They have been working on it! I think the team has been handling it well. They have been providing updates through the whole process. They were sick and their health takes priority so that took a huge chunk of momentum (COVID knocked me out for a month). People need to stop viewing patreon like they are entitled to something for donating peanuts. You are supporting the further development of something you like. As far as I am concerned the team kept us well informed of the situation and I think this large update will make up for the missed time. I shouldn't have to explain this though, this is the whole purpose of Patreon. You aren't purchasing finished products here, you are supporting developers.

I see... Didn't know that. Well, I understand more your position then. I am still not mad about it, and a couple of months free or refunded would be nice, but it seems more logical to be mad about it now that you've said this. I guess I'm just more forgiving, be it for better or for worse. Sorry if my comment upset you in any way, I just wanted to defend the authors against unvalid and unreasonable hate comments, but if they have foundation then I can't say much about it. I still don't think it is so bad if they really are going to release an amount of content as big as stated. But it seems fair to be upset about the deadline not being kept up. Altough as I said before, to me it isn't such a big deal, but that is just my opinion.

This isn't the first time they've apologized or given a deadline for just this patch alone, they've literally done this multiple times. After awhile you learn in life that apologizes are worthless, they're just a formality. Actions are what actually matter and there actions have shown they don't give a fuck. How many times can they keep saying sorry, giving a deadline and not delivering anything. We didn't even get an update after they well and truly went over there deadline until people started threatening to pull funding, that's not the actions of someone who is sorry. And people absolutely are losing out, we are literally there salary, the same way my boss pays my salary and expects certain standards of work to be performed I'd expect the developers to be held to similar standards

Yeah, I understand where you're coming from, you're 100% correct. I'm not saying that there is nothing wrong or that no one has any right to complain, even more if you're a patreon. As I stated I only expressed my own opinion as I don't mind the delay, but that doesn't mean that one should try their best to keep up with their deadline. But an apologie was just stated about the delay and they've tried to explain why said delay. The estimated X time to get the next release but due to the big amount of content it ended up being more, plus the current world situation I'd say it understandable, bu again, that's my opinion, and everyone is entitled to their own. I'm not saying that they shouldn't feel bad for the delay, but they've apologizes and stated that they would try for this to not happen again, I don't think there is anything else that can be done about the issue apart from trying to not do it again, and apologize, which they did. If one prefers to get the release in a week despite the possible bugs and problems that may arise from not checking everything, well, each one their own, but if you (and others) see fit to fire them for this, well, you can always just stop being patreons. I don't like the idea of abandoning a project just because of a delay, even less when one doesn0t lose almost anything due to it. I mean, the only issues are 1: it took more time than what was said, but you don't really lose anything because of the wait, but 2: you pay X months of patreaon without getting the product which was promised. If one complains about this, then OK, in that regard I'm with you, I don't know, they can make it so the next X months are free in a way to apologize, that would be very humble and appreciated, at least in my opinion.

They've promised this amount of work in a certain time frame that they haven't even come close to meeting. Everyone who pledges and pays for the development has to deal with deadlines in there day to day jobs, you'd be fired in a fucking heartbeat anywhere if you tried to pull this shit. I'm following MITY's "Four Element Trainer" (based on the Avatar animated series), Ferdafs' "Rick and Morty" (clearly based on Rick and Morty xD), Reinbach's "The Real World, The Game" (altough it's a bit young it is really nice), "boobsgames' "Warlock and Boobs" (very clever and original game created on the RPG Maker program), and of course "DarkCookie's "Summertime Saga". All are, of course, games of the same type and all really enjoyable, in all the meanings of the word xDD. If you decide to give them a try I hope you like them, and anyone else that wants to give them a shot. But I'm so hyped by this update of Taffy Tales ^^.

It's understandable that you are worried about the opinion of fans, followers and/or patrons, but if the scale of the update is really as big as you're saying I would say it's quite normal for it to take longer, so from my point of view you're doing fine. Yes, I would have loved for the realease to have been sooner, but if by waiting more I (and everyone else) am getting more content, I don't mind the wait. I mean, I'm also a huge fan of "Summertime Saga", and they also take a few months to release new content, but as it is really well made and enjoyable I'm satisfied. I can't speak for everyone else, but I'm really happy to get a release with so much content even if it took way more time to release. And if you're also making sure there are no bugs and all is A-OK I appreciate it. Keep up the good work and I hope to keep seeing the art, the story and the game all around improve and grow bigger. Keep safe and don't let what some say discourage you (Of course, don't ignore the feedback of the fans, but don't let it be all that matters).

ok so this endrak dude kinda has a point that its taken way to long and this should be out within the next week or so because this is very unprofessional for any content creator like this scale. It would be understandable if it was 1 person doing this, but its not. This should be done already and now its 2 months of waiting. This is a problem but youre making the stakes higher and higher by doing this delay. So, I think it would be reasonable to think this should be the best content and least buggy content youve even put out because youve waited this long to finish.

So realistically probably another month at a minimum and more likely given the track record another 2+, don't get sucked in by the teaser and forget these cunts are taking you for a ride for your money. Convenient the teasers realised right before they rebill you for another month coming into February. Don't forget was meant to be finished in December and we're now into Feb and another month off at least 😁 go fuck yourselves you disgraceful cunts
