Stickers & Thanks
Added 2021-01-02 19:22:36 +0000 UTCHey Patrons! It's my favorite time of the month- when I get to say thank you to all of you who are supported my zany effort to bring the joy of machine shop work to as many people as possible. As is tradition, stickers are in the mail for all new Rockstars who joined in December, and the credits will be up to date in upcoming videos. The blog is already updated. Happy New Year, and here's hoping we all have a little brighter 2021 than we did 2020!
The background easter egg in this month's photo is one of Harold Hall's milling books. Interestingly, it's called "Milling: A Complete Course", but it's really just one big elaborate project to build an end mill grinding jig. I wouldn't call it pedagogy exactly, but it is a very interesting and elaborate project. As good an excuse for a book as any, I suppose. I suspect the publisher chose the title to make it sounder broader in appeal. the project is basically the entire tool head for a D-bit grinder with an attachment on top to hold milling cutters (to be mounted on a bench grinder), so I may try making the top part and adapt it to my old Kuhlmann D-bit grinder.
Thanks for your support, everyone!
