2023-09-21 06:59:19 +0000 UTCI don't know that it's 'always' raining in that situation, but it's also only happened twice (well, not even really, since he didn't lose his soul this time). This situation, though, was specifically meant to parallel Buffy 2x13 'Surprise', and the previous episode was even called 'Reprise' for that parallelism (even though the words are pronounced differently). Also, I think you're the first reactor I've watched who got that Kate actually died in the beginning of the episode. I think most people assume she didn't and Angel was just magically allowed in because of what she said at the end, but I always thought she died for a few seconds.
