My Art, But Make It DeepFaked

I’m sharing a comparison set today—some of my most popular character renders, now reimagined as realistic portraits using Stable Diffusion.

Now, I know many of my peers aren't exactly thrilled with the rise of AI—but I, for one, welcome our new digital overlords. I've been following the tech closely and felt it was time to see what it could do with familiar faces. Someday, I hope to use it to revisit my oldest comics, but it's not quite there yet. (It took thousands of renders and hours of Photoshop work just to produce what you see here.) Still, we're getting closer every day.

In the meantime, I hope you enjoy this peek into the world of tomorrow! 🚀

Use this software from now on. This is a COLLOSAL upgrade.

The Silver Socialist

Yup, you nailed it. AI is still terrible at facial expressions—these were the closest I could get out of hundreds of renders. That’s why making something like a comic with it is still nearly impossible. It also struggles with complex objects, multiple figures, and maintaining character consistency from frame to frame. I guess we still have a few years before it comes to steal all our lunches...

Adventures in ENF

I'm not a fan of how the AI changed the facial expressions. The two different versions express different feelings in my opinion.
