I know it's easy to say Toph and other members from the first show are so unbeatable it wouldn't be a fair fight but we saw kuriva take out a lot of people early in this season with as much effort as toph used. I think the biggest difference is I take toph's claims of being so much stronger than her daughters as a joke and I think a large reason for toph success this episode was a surprise attack her daughters didn't have the advantage of. Toph said it herself she was sore from her sparring with korra. A prolong fight with kuriva would have proven an issue

Lol I’m sure she has eyes on her all the time. Think about it if it was easy she would have gotten rid of it no doubt she’s a smart girl but there probably wasn’t an opening.

It feels inherently rough, controlled, and so satisfying to watch. So now almost every scene with earth bending, I’m forever like “damn, that’s awesome.”

It is the largest artillery piece ever made, with the biggest cannon ever shot, with the heaviest shells. Because of the impracticality it was not used that much, as the entire train was a mile long, it took a lot of time to set up, and circular tracks had to be laid down near the frontline for the cannon to rotate. and aim from. It managed to take out an ammunition depot that was 30m(90ft) under a sea with 10m (30ft) of concrete protection. Essentially being a real world rail gun as it is portrayed here in avatar

2021-06-04 14:31:38 +0000 UTCI think the Toph vs. Kuvira thing is a little more equal than your giving credit for. Remember Toph literally got a back ache from beating up a PTSD ridden avatar. The creators have actually commented on this and said: “Toph would give Kuvira a good fight but overall there is no class system.” So basically the fight’s winner depends on the circumstances of the environment & how ready each participant is. Personally why I never liked the whole “versus” thing.
