For kenny: Did you notice New hints in Ymirs backstory and the conversations between her and Berthold, that you didnt see before?

2021-10-30 18:28:44 +0000 UTCDuring this episode, Ymir threatens both Reiner and Bertolt by claiming that she had the advantage for a number of reasons. How do you feel about the way battles are evolving? At first it was all about learning to fight titans and now it’s slowly molding into a Titan vs Titan battle. Unrelated to the question but I love how titans like Reiner, Bertolt, Eren, Annie and Ymir all have their own strengths and weaknesses, Ymir made this clear when she mentioned her titans agility and quickness would be more powerful under the given circumstances. It really shows that even those these “special” titans are significantly stronger than normal titans, they can still be outsmarted and outplayed if strategized against well. Just something I find rly cool haha

Now that you’ve seen Ymir’s backstory and how she falsely claimed to be a descendant of the founding Titan Ymir (aka a reincarnation of the devil from the Marleyans point of view), do you believe the government are justified in taking such extreme measures of purifying the Eldian “devils” into titans? A follow-up question if you’re interested: Why do you think the Marleyan government would take such a HUGE gamble of turning Ymir into a Titan if she claimed to be of royal blood? (Keep in mind that the founding Titan becomes the coordinate when they come in contact or possess royal blood [Eren touching Dina {Titan form}, the Reiss family, and Eren touching Historia are some examples] Furthermore, remember when Grisha tried to save his wife, Dina Fritz, from being transformed into a Titan by mentioning she was of royal blood? This risk is the reason why the Marleyan Government may have hesitated and why Grisha brought it up) … sry this was wayyy too long, if you use this, you don’t have to say it all. It was just to help give you some more context 😅

Bertholdt asks if she remembers eating the friend and she says no. Bertholdt assumes Reiner and Eren don’t remember either. Based on Ymir’s story and Bertholdt’s assumption, what theory do you have about the human-titan connection?

FOR KENNY Now knowing that Ymir is from Marley, what were your original theories as to her story?
