New show recommendations!

Comment shows you think we/Kenny should check out! Try not to repeat, just like the shows you want to see!

Comments

Jojo's Bizarre Adventure would be interesting to see. Part 6 just came out too.

Platonic Hugs

Arcane or Dark

emma

Steven Universe is a great show for people who love therapy, especially Steven Universe: Future! 😁

Azmi

ARCANE! I know it's only 9 episodes so far, but this is 20 out of 10!!!!!!! Best animated series I've ever seen! And I'm 54 years old, so that says a lot.

BlueEyedRaven

Young justice

ARCANE PLEASE ITS SO GOOD AND RIGHT UP UR ALLEY

Jj Fg

ooo you guys should watch Erased! It’s such a cool anime with lots of twists and turns and it’s only 11 episodes 😌 my second one would be infinity trainnn 💗 such a great series \(^•^)/

*clone wars

Aidan

Fullmetal alchemist brotherhood and attack of the clones

Aidan

vampire diaries

Himal Patel

ARCANE!! It has an incredible story, and plenty of opportunities for Montana to analyze the characters and the way it portrays trauma is unlike anything I’ve ever seen it’s so good

Ari

Non-animated: - Shadow Hunters - Sense 8 - Timeless Animated: - Voltron: Legendary Defender - Steven Universe - Young Justice

Cameron Dougherty

Idk if it's been said already, but if you haven't seen it, you guys should watch the 100!

Young justice, My hero Academia, That time I got reincarnated as a slime, Code geass, and To your eternity. I think you both would really injoy all of these shows.

Jefferey Kidd

The umbrella academy

Rory Fitz

RICK AND MORTY

Mike burns

Demon slayer

I would highly Recommend code geass or death note

not here

I’d second both of these recommendations. Arcane, tho some of the more political parts fall through without some background lore, is stunning. Steins;Gate is such a wild ride from start to finish, and one of my all-time favorites.

Eric Gjertsen

Buffy the vampire slayer

Rory Fitz

Top recommendations imo would be Arcane shorter series at only 9 episodes, very immersive with world building and character development even with the time constraints, best part for you guys is that the show is naturally in english so no need to go through a different dub experience Steins Gate May be a harder one on the youtube end as it's notoriously strikes videos, however the show is my all time favorite anime with mind bending plot lines (wink) where every single slight detail comes back into context at some point, furthermore the love story between characters in a romantic and platonic sense is by far some of the most feels good content out there, Bonus the VA on the dub is highly respected and one of the best representations out there

Affinity

A lot of the recommendations here are good ones, so I won’t repeat them. I’ll just add “The Hollow” another Netflix animated show. It’s 2 pretty short seasons, and they’re quite good.

Mars

omg there are sooo many comments. I'm gonna try to scroll through and like some comments because I'm pretty sure ppl have already mentioned the ones that I'd like to see lol

hex

In February I super recommend watching The Legend of Vox Machina! But till then, The Owl House & Gravity Falls are both great choices!

Aleph Sharp

Code Geass

Ghostwolf

Fruits Basket!

ardengee

the discussions on the characters i feel like would be great

Steven Universe!

Mermaid Muse

Steven Universe, Owl House, Kipo

King Katerina

The Dragon Prince is so good. Highly recommend.

Tyler J Wortham

Owl House if you want more stuff like She-ra and Korra

Hannah N

Oh wow, I know there's a lot of recommendations but I have to make some: Gotta go with "Yuri! On Ice" if you want something lighthearted and LGBTQ. Sk8 the Infinity is also good for that. Both are one season long. For something more serious, maybe Demon Slayer. It's pretty dark and grewsome but I think y'all would love it. It also has opportunity for Montana to do some psych analysis from the Demon's backstories.

christian

Invincible is an Amazon show.

David Portnov

I'll add that Steins;Gate has an excellent dub. I'm not sure if 0 is dubbed yet, but it probably has a good one already or will have a good one.

David Portnov

In addition to my anime picks, I strongly recommend checking out Halt and Catch Fire. It's possible to make to make the argument that it's the most underrated show of the last decade and there is barely any content about it on YouTube despite the small, but hardcore fanbase. This show is all about the characters and there's a lot to analyze in that respect.

David Portnov

All of these would be fantastic, except for RWBY, but that's just my personal opinion.

David Portnov

Cowboy Bebop (the anime) and Samurai Champloo would be awesome to see. I'd consider both to be anime classics with excellent dubs.

David Portnov

Absolutely. It's an "I started watching anime in the 2000s" staple. (No sarcasm)

David Portnov

Thank you!

David Portnov

There are countless repetitions in the 187 comments, so far. So please dear Patreon-Community, try to stay with the like button.

I second Leverage!

Invincible on HBO

I assume these still have to be relatively kid friendly shows for Tik Tok and YouTube sake. Hm, maybe give Death Note a try! Only 37 eps and it’s really engaging, I consider it a must watch for anyone to be honest. If you are trying to dive further into the anime realm, some other recommendations I’d give are: Mob Psycho 100 (25 eps, great animation, fun story, cool characters), Vinland Saga (24 eps, for a more mature audience and it’s also done by the same studio that animated Attack on Titan seasons 1-3), and probably Jujutsu Kaisen (24 eps, action packed, funny, cool fights, also animated by the same studio that animated Attack on Titan season 4 and there’s a jujutsu Kaisen movie dropping on Christmas Eve!). I tried to keep those recs relatively short but some longer anime that you should try are Hunter x Hunter (148 eps, my first anime, amazing watch), Naruto (380ish eps, based off some of the memes I think you’ve Alr watched but if not, def try it out) and maybe My Hero Academia (113 eps, more of a show for kids but it’s still very entertaining and funny at times). Hope this helps !

karstenj10

Anything studio ghibli would be a great standalone movie reaction! I think they would love those movies :) they’re just so magical and beautiful

Ci-Ci

RWBY

MacarooniR0b

I love One Day At A Time! I laugh and cry at almost every episode

Yes!!! What an amazing show. The mystery, the suspense, the psychological distress, the acting. It's all so good

TEEN TITANS AND CLONE WARS

Code Geass

Julien Hector

Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood

I would say Seven Deadly Sins is a good follow up from both She-ra and AOT as it feels a lot like both those shows mixed together. A strong anime storyline with a lot of fun, and psychological moments, great animation, lots of characters and set in a fantasy world with Giants Fairies,Demons etc. Not to mention great voiceacting in both dub and Japanese version. I would love to see you react to it some day. I also heard great things about Arcane, even tough I have not seen it myself yet, but it looks really good.

Thomas Haugen

I second that, its a pretty good show, not on par with She-ra or Avatar, but still pretty decent for a kids show and has a lot of fun moments in it.

Thomas Haugen

Arcane, Castlevania or Jujutsu Kaisen

Eglė

Defo agree with anyone suggesting The Dragon Prince and Kipo and the Age of the Wonderbeasts- both are fab. Also if you after something a bit gritty Castlevania is easily the best Western animation of recent years- character storytelling is sublime

Robbie Crow

Anime-wise, Mob Psycho 100 is one of my favourite things ever and is like this really nice little character arc with phenomenal animation

Arcane, RWBY, Full Metal Alchemist!!!

Tessa Nyx

Two shows everyone must watch are: Infinity Train and, if you'd like to move away from animation, The Expanse.

Richard C.

I know there is already a lot of answers but I'd love to see you watch - The Owl House - Amphibia There are not long series (sadly) and you'll enjoy it a lot!

Robin B

Arcane

Tardos

Yes, ever since Montana has shared her thoughts on Azula's mental breakdown all I could think of was "Please watch Violet Evergarden, not just for the psychology of it but it's a brilliant story and gorgeously animated."

Gabriel Dobson

My heart is for Violet Evergarden. It's such an amazing Anime!

Gabriel Dobson

My suggestions are The Good Place, Gravity Falls, and Violet Evergarden. Also no one seems to have watched it but Japan Sinks is also a good short animated series on Netflix. For movies I would suggest Your Name then Weathering With You and A Silent Voice and just go through all of Studio Ghibli if you haven't seen any haha You can't go wrong with Studio Ghibli (I prefer the English dubbing of Ghibli, controversial I know)

Gabriel Dobson

The Harley Quinn animated series on HBOmax is super good. It has some of my favorite takes on DC comics characters ever and the animation and voice acting are top notch

Scott Svensson

You can never go wrong with Death note.

LJ

Tokyo revengers

Dragon Prince and Arcane! Dragon Prince is a natural progression from ATLA,LOK, and Shera. Arcane is just absolutely amazing and should definitely be on you list.

Starstuff_Skoe

Your Lie in April. It is an anime, Montana would have a field day lol

JuanderfulJuans

Also for an anime I recommend “jujutsu kaisen” (I don’t know if the dub is any good) it’s a really good anime for beginners and is filled with a lot of likable characters and wholesome moments as well as a really good plot and intense fight scenes

Kfir shaltiel

“Crazy ex girlfriend” I know it’s not animated and longer than the shows you’ve watched before but it’s filled with so much depth and I would love to hear Montana’s thoughts about it and I think Kenny will love it too because of his theatre background

Kfir shaltiel

The Dragon Prince!! It is SO you guys, it’s just like ATLA and Korra. The characters are amazing and you’ll totally love them

Stephen Richard

Leverage is a very smart and fun live-action con/heist from the olden days of the 2000s (original series, not the "Leverage 2.0" continuation currently on IMDB TV). Five seasons, but their basic-cable sized, so the series is manageable. Did I mention it's smart and fun (but also thought provoking)

Brett Loiselle

I just finished watching what’s out so far of The Owl House with my mom and sisters over the break and I’ve never felt so seen! This show is RIGHT up y’all’s alley! I mean… queer witches 🌈😉

Lizzy Gayle

Fairy tail is really good and it got some amazing stories, but instead of seasons it has story arcs. Dragon Prince is amazing, and new seasons are coming out.

Goliver the weird Droid

Fruits Basket 2019!

katherine

I think Black clover would be really good especially considering the massive amount of content out for that show

Zachary Hay

The Haunting of Hill House or Bly Manor!

Dragon Prince. It has three complete seasons and reportedly more on the way! Great show tih good messages!

Arcane. It's a masterpiece. Y'all will love it.

Jon Wake

Arcane: League of Legends, one of the best new series out there!

Historia-Europa

1. Arcane 2. Violet Evergarden (English subtitles) 3. The Haunting of Hill House

Blubber Nuggets

Blubber Nuggets

Oh, also BoJack Horseman if you're into adult animation! It's the best of that category BY FAR.

Byron

I highly highly highly recommend The Owl House and Gravity Falls if you haven't already seen them!

Byron

My two Biggest suggestions are Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood and My Hero Academia! That being said My Hero Academia is still being made so I'd suggest watching Full Metal Alchemist first.

GoldenGirlJay

Mob Psycho 100 and Deathnote are class act amazing animes and mob psycho has a season 3 coming out that you guys would thoroughly enjoy

Tyler DeCamp

~Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood ~Erased ~The Dragon Prince ~Gravity Falls ~Fruits Basket (2019) ~RWBY (including Soundtrack reviews between the Volumes bc of VERY interesting character/plot/foreshadowing analysis from the lyrics & music itself 🥰) ~Assassination Classroom (such a weird premise at first, but SUCH a great, deep/emotional show in the end, and SO well written, still a top favorite of mine!) ~Given ~Your Lie in April ~A Silent Voice (Movie) ~Wotakoi: Love is Hard for an Otaku (literally one of the most adorable shows I've ever seen in my life 💗😂)

Jenna Murdock

Eighty-Six is an amazing anime. Production, plot, cinematography, OST by Hiroyuki Sawano, voice acting is incredible. The show I would say takes some element from Attack on titan without it feeling ripped off.

boostorange

Infinity Trainnnnnnnnn ♾ ♾ ♾ ♾

ZylonInfinity

Not sure if this has been said as I haven’t seen it yet, but Violet Evergarden is a beautiful and fairly short anime that I feel you both would like! The more psychologically driven portion would be great to see picked through by you guys and the action, when it comes through, does not disappoint. And don’t even get me started on the animation. It’s very much a story that highlights humanity and is always a pleasure to watch (even if not on the channel) so I could not recommend it more. Death Note would also be an incredibly fun watch through and def smth that can take the AOT cliffhanger tension portion of your reactions place. Beyond that, The Umbrella Academy is a very funny but emotional and action packed superhero show! It explores family dynamics, issues of race and sexuality, sci-fi shenanigans, and is just a good time through and through. It’s also low on the more explicit gore factor so it might be easier to acclimate to. Counter to that, Black Sails is a historical fiction pirate piece that’s accrued a cult following since its completion. Think game of thrones but on the high seas; tons of action, political drama, and pirate shanties. I hope these suggestions are helpful!

exhausted

Death Note would be cool

Daolord Badlands

Helluva Boss on YouTube is incredible. It's really funny and surprisingly full of heart. It's definitely for adults though

Scott Svensson

Steins Gate is a classic, maybe some movies? I would recommend A Silent Voice and Your Name

Adrian Jansen

Infinity Train - it's very reaction-worthy with plenty to discuss philosophy-wise each season as well. Great soundtrack & voice cast too.

StuCee

My hero academia would be something I think you guys would love!

Casey Turner

Can you both watch Naruto, I assume you’ve (Kenny) already seen it but I think it would be good to see you rewatch and Montana’s first reactions on it.

Recable

Game of thrones, any critical role but I’d recommend a one shot cause the main campaigns are realllllyyyyyy long like episodes 3-4 hours usually each and 100+ episodes each campaign. Well worth it they are all voice captors and amazing but may be too much for a react thing to do a while campaign. But a one shot or some narrative telephone i think would work. Or compilation of funny moments etc.

Seeing so many people recommend The Dragon Prince made me happy. It’s such a good show!

Christabel Herron

I second this! It’s so good

Christabel Herron

Yes! This is one of my favorite shows! I think Kenny and Montana would love it!

Christabel Herron

Arcane 100% best animated show in a while with owl house as a close runner up

liam bob

Invincible is an incredible new show. And right now only season 1 out with 8 episodes so it's a good time to start

Mitchell Barnes

Arcane

Chimtaye

I’d definitely suggest Arcane. Not only is it one of the best looking animated shows in history, its storytelling is incredible. All of the characters, from orphan girls to councillors, politicians and crime Lord kingpins, have so much emotional depth and complex motivations to break down (Montana would be obsessed with so many of the characters in this show). It has incredibly emotional moments through even just the first few episodes (I guarantee tearbending) and also deals with guilt, grief, mental illness, abandonment, family betrayal, codependency, parental struggles, as well as class and political issues. Oh, and it’s a bisexual dream too. There’s even some… *wink wink* gay ships in there…

VVenture

Joining the other's recommending Arcane, it's so good (and also only 9 episodes)! :)

Sword art online

Glen Love

Black Clover, Arcane, or RWBY.

John doe

I think Full Metal Alchemist would be a good show to go to after AoT, and after She-Ra, hmm... the first that comes to mind is Dragon Prince. But I'll watch whatever y'all watch ^^

Krista Han

Mob Psycho 100

Justin S Tuisamoa

Bojack Horseman

Justin S Tuisamoa

Continuing Young Justice would be great! Owl House - Is fantastic. Gravity Falls- Also great.

Matt Lievens

Erased! It’s on Netflix and it’s only 11 episodes. Or for a movie: A Silent Voice. And ofc Fruits Basket but I’ve already seen some comments about it.

For some reason the Arcane fandom has been really toxic, so I would recommend watching it on your own time or wait until the hype cools down a bit.

LeFlaneur

Sword art online Dragon Prince Arcane The Owl house Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood My Hero

Keygirl13

The new season is so raw. I was so disappointed that they didn’t pick it up after Korra.

LeFlaneur

Animated shows: -Arcane -Dragon Prince -Wolverine and the X-Men (only one season, you could finish it quick. Also might be nice to meet some characters before going into the MCU movies) Live action: -The Boys -You -Defending Jacob

Shado

Arcane, Owl House and Amphibia and - while I assume everyone has seen it - Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood

MissSunFlower94

The dragon prince and owl house !! :)

Bibbles

I'd love Arcane, HunterxHunter or Re: Zero!

Belle M

Owl House or Dragon Prince. Both bangers and would love to see either of those. Mai Whitman (Katara's VA) voiced a character on Owl House. Jack DeSena (Sokka's VA) and Erik Dellums (Koh the Face Stealer's VA) voice characters on Dragon Prince (if you didn't know already)

Zo Hunter

For anime I highly recommend Haikyuu! It's my personal all time favorite anime. No death, no romance--at least I don't think there is--it's just a lot of healthy male friendships and how much they love a sport, and it's so precious. A cartoon that I HIGHLY recommend is Trollhunters: Tales of Arcadia. It's a Netflix original that is part of a series but you can watch the show on it's own. I don't know if you would want to watch live action shows but one I started rewatching is White Collar. All fabulous shows!

Harley Taylor

HAIKYUU! People will say you gotta watch it in Japanese, but I think the English dub is hilarious and just as good. Also, the character development is fabulous and beautiful.

Kailor Aurelius

Yes to the Owl House. Dragon Prince as well

And beyond anime I think some cartoons you would like are The Owl House, Amphibia, Voltron, and Craig of The Creek. And idk if you guys watch live action stuff or movies but I'd love some reactions to the Karate Kid films and then Cobra Kai.

Soren

I definitely want to see you guys watch Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. And I think it'd be really interesting to see Montana's thoughts on Naoki Urasawa's Monster. Also you guys should definitely watch Death Note and Code Geass. But I also think Erased would be a good choice. Also, Kino's Journey, Mushi-Shi, To Your Eternity, Ergo Proxy, Your Lie In April. And more underappreciated anime, like Flip Flappers or Re: Creators... though in some of these cases the sub is way better or the only option so idk.

Adam Brown

DARK!

Jack T

Arcane 100%

Danelle

Arcane and rwby for sure!!!

Sy

Castlevania is next level 💯

Easyspice99

#1 I would adore you guys to do is The Good Place (although I think one of you said you have already seen it, in which case... nevermind) It's only a single season, but I am Not Okay With This on Netflix is really cool. Stranger Things Other folks have said it a bunch, but I'll 'fourth' The Owl House and Dragon Prince.

William Timmins

Demon slayer, new season just about to drop

dan bissell

My hero academia, Jujutsu Kaisen, Fullmetal alchemist Brotherhood!!

Steins;Gate snd Steins;Gate 0

Michael Oliveros

The owl house is another super cute animated show, many shera fans love it!

Nicdonalds

wheres my Arcane love at?

Jiraiya The Gallant

Gravity Falls, The Owl House & Arcane, also maybe JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure & That time I got reincarnated as a Slime

Arc_099_

The owl house, gravity falls, over the garden wall is a good short one

Emma Jarvis

I’ve seen it mentioned but I definitely think Arcane would be a great choice! The story structure is just phenomenal and I think Montana would love the psychological aspect of the show

Fullmetal alchemist brotherhood would be awesome XD

Thatdumbassrogue

Non-animated show I can't help but recommend is Barry. I don't know if it's suitable for the channel, but it has a big focus on psychology and relationships as well as theatre/acting. It's incredibly funny and incredibly dark. Like Dexter and Breaking Bad, except comedy. Very underrated show.

AverageAnime

Arcane is the best show I've seen all year and you don't need to know anything about League of Legends to get immersed.

ISAAC HERNANDEZ

Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood!

CyKaL

I'd like to see you continue with Young Justice. The cartoons Gargoyles and Spectacular Spider-Man were both written by the same showrunner, and are similar in tone and depth. Beyond that, I always recommend the TV series Leverage - essentially a group of thieves running cons and heists on rich, powerful, and corrupt villains in order to help people, sort of Ocean's Eleven meets Robin Hood. It's a good fun show, it's just gotten a revival/sequel series, and it existed just before the YouTube Reactor era and so many people missed out on it.

Nathan Dowdell

Arcane RWBY The Owl House

Whaf03

maybe Gravity Falls as well since there are in-jokes to it in the other Disney animated shows

sesamese

Fruits Basket (2019) ! Amazing anime that both of you will definitely love! Especially hits that psychology, emotion based analysis! Funny, cute, heartbreaking, and hopeful!

The Owl House, Amphibia, Gravity Falls, The Promised Neverland. The first two are new cartoons with great LGBTQ+ representation and other rep. You’ll definitely enjoy them.

Blacklung

If you're interested in a bit more anime, then Jujutsu Kaisen is a good one since it's pretty short, one season so far. But one of my favorite shows in general is One Day At A Time and it's on Netflix but last season is not since they canceled it and got picked up by another network.

Yazmeen V.

Would you guys ever do animated movies or short series' if you guys would ever do that I'd say over the garden wall or a silent voice!
