Weekly Roundup 39 - 27/11/20 - Location Attacks, Loot Collection, & Male VO

Hi everyone. :)

This week has some minor progress updates to share on both Tessa and the 2nd Project. As well on some thoughts on making more animation sets. Lets get into it!

1: What's New?

Male VO commissioned For Ticklish Tessa:

Here's some news on getting male laughter and sound effects into ticklish Tessa. I spent the first few days of this week to make an asset list for the VA. I've commissioned (And paid) a voice actor on twitter https://twitter.com/SukeBanchoR18 to provide the voices.

The current ETA on me getting them is a few weeks. Then I'll need to do some work to allow an easy switching of female to male voice swapping in-game. 

Once that's done it'll be time to bug fix and get Ticklish Tessa into a finished state!

2nd Project Progress

A little bit of progress was made this week. I've added in the Treasure and Materials currencies and displays into the dungeon screen. So that can be collected now:

The bigger design addition made this week was adding locational attacks to an enemy encounter.

The idea behind this is that different locations will cause different effects. Some locations will be pure stamina drain against the enemy while others cause status effects.

And then when the enemy is fully defeated they get totally bound up.

2: What's Next:

There's a few things that can come next. Albeit they'll take a while to materialize.

• For Ticklish Tessa I want to get the male VO in the moment I have clips that I'm happy with getting in there. Once that's done I'll update both the full build and the demo to incorporate them.
• For the 2nd Project we're still a ways away from a playable demo. So work on it is steady but that's a longer term payoff.

And then there's animation sets...

More interactive animation sets?

I'm still kind of dumbfounded (In a great way) as to how successful the Princess Moon animation set was. It seems like a lot of people enjoyed it and I've seen a big boost in Patrons.

And while I fully understand that not everyone plans to be here in the long term, the outcome regardless was amazing! Thank you again. :)

Which brings us to the question of making more of them. Even though they're still smaller then a game, they are a lot of work to get everything together. I get the impression that people would enjoy to see more of them.

I did have a few ideas floating around. One in particular with everyone's favorite bunny cop. And I think I could probably deliver on a story-based interactive set once every 2-3 months.
