Weekly Roundup 118 - 19/08/2022 -SLIMES! - New playable build!

I have a new playable build for people to play that has the newest enemy type integrated into the game: SLIMES!

1: What's New?

So the big news for this week is a new playable build that integrates the new enemy type:

These enemies are designed to be more numerous and easier to defeat. And I've sprinkled them around the dungeons, which in turn has decreased the number of golems and cultists you encounter as well.

Slimes come in three different sizes and if you let two of the same size get next to eachother they'll often merge together to create a bigger slime. Oh no!

And if the biggest "Grabber Slimes" successfully land an attack, they'll snatch you up for some pleasurable doom!

Beware them! For they are many!

In addition to adding in these slimes I've also added a different graphic telegraph for if an enemy attack is a binding or a damaging attack:

And finally I also did some minor bug fixing. The tutorial level should no longer crash if you get defeated by the cultist.

Audio should also be turned on if you're installing a fresh save.

2: What's Next?

I think some bugs will shake out of the new build so I'm on the lookout for those to fix. Let me know if you find some bad bugs!

After this enemy type I wanna see if I can do a bit of design to get some more taunting narration from the villainess of the tower. Let her comment on your progress as you go through the level. I think that'll be fun!

I also want to spend some time thinking about improving meta-game aspects of the gameplay. IE: What to spend cash on. Etc.

And of course I need to think about getting a journal in there so you can recall all the lore entries found.
