New NJB: Dutch Bicycles
Added 2021-02-07 12:31:00 +0000 UTCAfter a couple of "epic" videos that were unexpectedly popular, I wanted to bring things back down to Earth a bit and talk about a more "mundane" subject: Dutch bicycles.
It has really fascinated me how different bicycles in the Netherlands are to those in the US and Canada. Bikes that are built for utility, and not for sport.
It was also really interesting to me that for years, it was basically impossible to buy a "practical" bicycle like the ones that are sold everywhere in the Netherlands. It's not surprising to me that some Canadians have got together to import bicycles from the Netherlands.
To my non-Dutch viewers, enjoy seeing how a "regular" Dutch bike is different.
And to my Dutch viewers, enjoy seeing how things you thought were totally normal absolutely blew my mind when I first came here! :)
