Here's the "full length" version of the story I'm sharing on TikTok later today! One of my favorite varieties of Rumpelstiltskin. It's not quite as colorful as the Grimm version, but I find it delightful. Plus, it focuses on two ladies.
Side Note: Those of you who see my Instagram stories may have seen a link I shared from Book Riot about a new YA collection of twists on fairy tales. The excerpt on Book Riot is "Say My Name" (Ha!) a short story that moves Rumpelstiltskin into our world by making the miller's daughter a high schooler named Bridget Miller who gets into a prestigious coding contest because her dad knows the right people - even though Bridget has never gotten higher than a C in their coding class.
How fucking clever is that??? And the payoff of the rump character's name is hilarious. I can't wait to read this collection.
