August Update and September Theme
Added 2020-08-28 22:34:51 +0000 UTCHi all!
So firstly an apology from me. This month has been massively disrupted for me so I'm way behind where I had wanted to be and consequently I wont be able to get the artificer minis finished before the end of the month though I have a cunning plan to get that back on track (see below).
We had a family holiday where I was expecting to be doing some work on the Artificers, but because of poor internet connections I had no access to my files and instead ended up working on 2 other projects for you guys - Cecil the Dark knight and Ifrit..... both still WIP at the moment but will be done and available to you all shortly.
When I got back from holiday, a day or 2 later I took delivery of my new home office - a self build log cabin garden office (Which should have been here about 4 weeks ago...), The weather here has been atrocious lately and with a couple of days break in the weather before we get into some really bad storms and severe conditions, I've had to rally some help and get the office built as quickly as possible so that the wood isn't destroyed and unusable from sitting outside for too long in adverse conditions.
This is the progress on the Lion Tower HQ at the end of day 1.

3 Days in and the interior needs finishing but externally all that remains is to paint it to protect it from the elements.
I've also been having one of those months where anything that can go wrong does! That includes Zbrush crashing my computer several times by filling my entire hard drive with quick-saves because it keeps resetting the auto-save count to 1000 instead of my usual 5! It has also been crashing an awful lot more than normal for no apparent reason. I've had to resculpt almost every aspect of the artificers so far at least 1 or 2 times each because I forgot to save, tried to do that one little extra bit and then zap! sometimes up to 2 hours work lost! it can be tough to bounce back from the mental anguish that can cause!!!
So whats the plan?
I'm clearly not going to get the remaining 4 models up before the end of the month, but as of next week we have normality back! kids at school, wife at work and no holidays or office to build! This is my time to catch up!
What I intend to do is to continue with the artificers into the start of September, then put them straight on to My Mini Factory. At the end of August I'll download the patron report, set each of you up in a user group on my MMF store and issue you with a code which you can redeem via MMF. Codes can be used once each and aren't linked to your email account or anything so if you use a different email for MMF thats not an issue. This is also partially in response to the issues a lot of you have had with Sync. I will do this same thing each month, but you will also continue to get Onedrive and Sync links to the files (I'll add zip files too to help make downloading a bit easier)
When you redeem the code on MMF, the models will be automatically added to your personal library - no more worrying about forgetting to download them or hard drive crashes losing your data - its there forever!
I'll also create a discount code for those models so anyone who is watching them being done in September and wants to get them can get them at a reduced rate. September subs will also have access to an archived set and the September Level up Hero Sculpts.
WHATS THE THEME FOR SEPTEMBER?
Paladins! Although they finished second in the poll, I know some of you think they're boring so I'll do my best to make them as interesting as possible,
For the archive set I'll let you all have the Month of the Magi set including the female battle mage sculpt

There should also be another set of Kingsguard miniatures coming in September. Light infantry are almost ready to go, and I've got Ty working on posing up a new set of rokobo knights too! (old ones pictured in case you don't know what to expect)

There are 2 new mounts coming for the Kingsguard too:
Both designed by Ichan Joe - the first is a Drake, and the second is a Behemoth juggernaut! This will step them up a notch!

So I'd once again like to thank you all for your support and for enabling me to do what I love and to be there for my family too. I feel very privileged to be able to look forward to my working days and to be able to make my living sculpting miniatures for you all to enjoy.
Many thanks to all of you
All the best
Dan

Yep, thats about it at the moment. I'm just finishing off the Mid level artificers and the Spider turret, and I've got the supported archive set ready to go up in a bit too. i'll hopefully be doing the next upload of stuff tomorrow and then its just getting the final artificer evolution up and running before starting work on the paladin and Rokobo Knights
